On Well-Intended Love Season 2 Sep 1, 2019
Like high key wondering why this drama is having a 2nd season. The 1st season was so melodramatic and too much happened in just 20 episodes that I don't know what they would do next xD
But Xu Kai Cheng is too handsome to not check out what they would do.
On The King’s Avatar Aug 30, 2019
Title The King’s Avatar Spoiler
It was a great drama, the fights/CG were well done. Most of the characters are really likable.
You won't be disappointed, well, maybe, if you have read the novel and know every detail about the storyline and it angers you all the changes they made.
Positive side: Friendship and healthy rivalry. Nothing makes me happier to see how much respect, they have for each other even if they're not in the same teams. The passion for the game was endearing. So many valuable lessons. Amazing teamwork.
My favorite two duos were
Ye Xiu& Su Mucheng: I enjoyed their scenes a lot. Ye Xiu even with the clumsy personality going around him, he is an extremely reserved and never shows his real feelings or down moments to the other characters in the drama. But with Mucheng he's really open, they have no secret, no barries, not idol image, so are able to easily share their insecurities and doubts. They understand each other and know what to say to lift their spirit or to think thru problems more thoroughly. And for me, that made Ye Xiu look more human and less mentor-like persona, he had going on throughout the drama.
Huang Shaotian&Yu Wenzhou: I love these two, Shaotian trash talk and blunt personality were the highlight for me, those parts were really funny. Yu Wenzhou reactions, small smiles, and side-eyes every time Shaotian talks more than he has to or how he makes him squirm when he wants some information. We needed more scenes like that. Also, those two as commentators was the best non-novel decision the production made!
The music is great, the lyrics are really meaningful.
Negative side:
In my opinion, they stretch out a lot the I'm your no.1 fan of Chen Guo and all the angst/crying that came from that storyline. It came so forced out. If that was their narrative from the beginning to make the drama more "dramatic". I think that at least they should have minimized it a bit because it took too much time of the story and the didn't even have time to introduce Sun Zheping, one of the Happy members that helped them to win the Challenge league. They even "injured" Wei Chen wrist so they could fusion those two characters to fit the novel storyline.
I felt characters like Su Mucheng and Huang Shaotian were underused. They helped Ye Xiu a lot, leveling and fighting with the bosses to be written out like that, but oh well, maybe I'm too bias because they're my favorite ones.
They left enough room for a season 2, because there's still the Glory Professional Alliance to cover and finish the story. The drama was popular in China so I hope they do it with the same cast.
Overall it has a high rewatchable value for the people that are able to obviate some details from the novel that didn't make it to the live-action.

Title Love Is Deep Spoiler
This drama is cute, but I feel like fewer episodes would have been better. In the end, Ding Ding way to show her love was so similar to Chen Xun, if you know what I mean, you know that's not a positive thing.
Watch it for Ning Nan Nan. the CAT and for Dr. Ning, he's a great boyfriend and person, regardless of everything the storyline put him through
On Love Beyond Frontier Aug 8, 2019
I don't know happened here, from the 4 leads only Namtan acting was good, the other 3 struggle a lot, their acting was flat, below average which is something weird coming from actors that are so popular in Gmmtv.
One of the main problems was that Krist couldn't convey the right emotions when was needed, it was frustrating. He needs to study more because for him having the main role, it was subpar.
Jane and New, I believe I have never seen them acting this bad before.
I don't know if the blame goes to the scriptwriter or the director that made this extremely disappointing or a combination of all of the above.
This drama struggled with the views on youtube compared to the other Gmmtv series that also aired during this time so I think I'm not the only one that felt this way.

Why the ratings are so low? This drama truly deserve high rating. From plot to acting everything is too good literally…
Here on mydramalist or in Korea?
On mydramalist maybe because not everyone like plot-lines that involves bullying.
In Korea, this show air on a cable channel at 23:00 kst or 11:00 PM,so it's not your usual prime-time slot, and 3% to 3.5% means it doing more than great, and everything you see around is people praising the cast acting and plotline

Person Nam Da Reum
He's one of those young actors that always play the younger version of the male lead, but to be honest, if you see his name on the cast list, you know he's going to deliver at the same level as the adult role he's playing or sometimes even better, I'm glad he's getting more chances to portray his skills.
And, wow, he has been working for ten years now.
On Put Your Head on My Shoulder May 18, 2019
This drama is light and simple, the plot is cliche-ish, but what makes it great? that is the question, and the answer is really simple, the lead couple, both of them are really likable, also the fun/cute bits here and there. Great drama to binge on a weekend.
On Clean with Passion for Now Nov 5, 2018
I don't get the whole age gap debate because in the webtoon the leads also have like a 9 years of difference. The male lead is supposed to be older and the female lead is supposed to be really young.
Also, kim yoo jung is not a rookie, she's far from that now, so as a well-established actress, she can decide if she wants to do it or not. In this case, she decided to take this character. she's an actress is her job.
To me, yoon kyun sang looks younger than his age, yes, you can tell he's the oldest one, but not in the sense that can make you think he could be her uncle or her father lol ( like in doctors: park shin hye and kim rae won) they actually look good or at least they did when they were on the red carpet for the APAN awards. He's a great actor and a nice person, there's no doubt he'll respect her and take care of her.

Title Secret Seven
it's a nice drama, I loved the friendship between all the members of room 305.
All the characters are memorable and have something that would make you like them. I love them all especially padlom, spoil, liftoil, ghost, alan, gent (confirmed how I always fall for guys with pretty smiles).
I got spoiled of whom she ended with before watching the show but to be honest I like it more because the reason was so obvious yet so subtly placed.
I think it made sense because even though she's afraid of falling in love or to emotionally attach herself to another person she's the romantic type of girl who deep down wants to have something similar of what her parents had. So for me, it's not surprising that he was the chosen one, she was the most comfortable with him, he made her smile a lot, their interactions were fluid and not tense, he could easily make her nervous with his compliments and approach, he cares for her

I first saw him in the legendary shuttle then when I started watching Solomon perjury I had to double check because I couldn't believe that torn puppy that was Bae Joon young was the same bully in the legendary shuttle, I got excited when I heard he was casted in school 2017 but then disappointed it was just a minor role. He's definitely one of the new actors I have my eyes on.

Title Gakeppuchi Hotel Spoiler
I think they kind of knew that the ending would disappoint a few so they decided to release 2 special episodes…
You know for me the whole childhood scenes, even tho it does have some romance undertone on them, I think they represent the reasons why Ukai decided to be a hotelman and how that experience inspired him to become a general manager and why he think customer service is the most important thing since his stayed at grande Inverso was a dream and a dearest experience of him and that why he went back as an adult to relive those memories and to see Sana again.

I don't know if its because is a Japanese drama that I don't expect too much on the romance side because is always so subtle or non-existent.

But here, I think it was on purpose or some kind of gimmick so people go to watch the 2 episodes released on Hulu orto buy the dvd box????????‍♀️ because of the ending they fast forward a couple of months as Sana said at the end and the special start there 3 months after with the 2 new staff members, and you can see how the hotel/staff are doing and how ukai change them, it's really refreshing
On Gakeppuchi Hotel Aug 9, 2018
I think this is the type of drama that you should binge-watch because is a laid back type of drama kind of facepalm and frustrating at time but still great and enjoyable, and like any Japanese dramas out there they teach you some lessons at the end which I think is nice.
For me, the characters were interesting and weird, a bit over the top with reactions but enjoyable and entertaining, I like them all.

WHY DID UKAI SAN HAV TO LEAVE??!! The drama was nice but I’m kinda disappointed after watching the ending
I think they kind of knew that the ending would disappoint a few so they decided to release 2 special episodes on Hulu that in my opinion compensate a bit, on those episodes, Ukai comes back as a guest and the ending is cute
On My Huckleberry Friends Jun 5, 2018
I think this is one of the best youth/ school life Chinese drama out there, well written, great acting, great characters not only the leads but all the supporting characters were also great and had a good back story. The drama is about friendship, growing up, fitting in, defining yourself and what makes you happy, competitive grading system, etc

This drama would make you feel happy, sad, nostalgic, extremely sad (get your tissues if you;re a cry baby) and any sort of emotions.

For those who are in school, this is a good drama and gives you a lot of life lessons in choosing what you want to do in the future and for those who are in college or already graduated this drama would make you nostalgic.
On When We Were Young May 30, 2018
Title When We Were Young Spoiler
After watching this drama I feel like the synopsis doesn't match with the drama I just watched. I feel like there's some elements from the original story but they changed quite a lot so it won't give you the same feeling. This one is more light and do not touch the subjects of suicide/extreme bullying and corruption within the school. And both twins are the leads.

For me this drama is the type of drama 'the binge watch category' because the main antagonist antics are too much, she's always scheming lol.

The romance is sort of subtle for our western standard lol but you'll end satisfied by the outcome, I know I was pleased by it.

Overall I like it and it was enjoyable , typical school and youth drama that will save you from boredom ..
