Well, things are progressing fast, they admitted loving each other, and now they are dating. But the FL is realizing…
I wondered the same thing: why are Fei Fei and Su shi Yu dressed in Thai attire? They then say that they identified their ethnicity as Dai. According to the internet, the Dai means Tai and that they are related to both the Lao and Thai peoples. The drama was filmed in Xishuangbanna, Yunnan Province, which borders Myanmar and Laos, according to a tweet. Which makes sense, given that the majority of Dai ethnic people live in that area of China.
This part of his proposal sums up what meeting Su Zai Zai meant to him. I just like this couple.
"For the first 17 years of my life, I worked hard just to keep the name Zhang Lu Rang alive. Until I met you. I had more to look forward to. I looked forward to your unexpected appearance around the corner. I looked forward to sweaty sport classes. I looked forward to every bus of the number 74. I began to look for tomorrow."
I also loved this line. "That glance seems to hint to me that my light was coming." The before and after of Zhang Lu Rang's meeting with Su Zai Zai.
The rewatchable value for this drama is high. Youku is on a roll. The majority of my favorite dramas this year have come from there!
Is this drama really that bad like jeff2005 review?
Reviews, take them with a grain of salt; everything is a matter of taste, and not everyone enjoys stories about death or depression. So you never know if it's for you until you watch the first and second episodes. Also, that person complained about people dying and being surrounded by death, which is to be expected if she works as a mortuary makeup artist at a funeral home. It's like complaining that medical dramas are always centered on sick people.
The story, in my opinion, is quite different from your typical c-drama and is about discovering the meaning of life and death. So far, I like it.
2nd trailer is out! The best thing they did was to make Pyo Jieun and Ji Woomin ex-lovers, so their story won't be the typical shy first-time love story and more of a reconciliation love story.
First thing you need to know is that the synopsis is wrong. Second, watch it on viki, the subs are better.
If you want to see the typical campus drama, this is not it, just like the 1st season it centered on a group of debaters and their journey to become a top debate club. It focuses on showing the audience how they prepare for competitions, as well as events from their daily life that can be portrayed with 2 points of views and their exchange of opinions over those situations. They talk a lot and fast. lol Therefore, if you don't like that, don't waste your time because you might find it boring.
I was disappointed they changed the cast for this season. I really wanted to know how the OG characters were doing as the last season ended with a to be continued. But they made it work. I even think they can do another season with different characters/actors and it would be fine too. If you like the dynamic of the first season, you would like this one too.
Personally, I found the topics for the debates lacking and not as engaging as the previous season. On the last topic, I couldn't connect with what they were saying or maybe the language barrier was present. I don't know. But I like this season acting more, you can tell they are more experienced in comparisons to the actors of season 1 that were rookies.
what's the ending in the book by Meili? Lin Xiaoran just dies from the accident on the exam day? What about the…
The book ended with Lin Xiaoran dead and Nan Xiang wan passed out on the stretcher. It has subs on YouTube already, Meili said she did that because reader love the story of heart abuse. Sadist writer lol. The song scene was either a coincidence or a plot hole lol
So.. It wasn't time travel. From the beginning of this drama to the middle of the last episode, we were inside of Yu Meili fiction book. Thank goodness!!! she gave her book a sadist ending.
I don't know if some scene was cut out, but the lack of continuity was extremely present in this drama. The last few episodes made little sense; it felt as if the writer threw all the ideas he thought would make the storyline interesting and funny, but failed to make something cohesive or comical. I'm still debating if 30 minutes per episode was an advantage or a disadvantage.
If you are bored and want to pass time give this one a try, even with its flaws the characters are likable and the acting for what they're given is fine, but if you want to see some mind-blown drama, this is not for you.
Cute light drama. Perfect for binge-watch. I think some people might have pulled their hair right at the middle of the show when the plot took a turn. It's like 'Oh no again' Chemistry between the leads and side characters is great. Characters like Zhao Yuan Fang and Zhen Nian set the example that you can move on maturely. it's so refreshing and weird in c-dramaland.
One of the best e-sport drama hands down. The story focuses on their love for the game, struggles, dreams, friendship like family, teamwork. it's not heavy on romance, the couples developed naturally as the story progressed but it definitely not the main focus. The drama shows us how much the C e-sport industry has changed over the years. It made the story fresh and different from previous e-sport dramas I have watched.
This is the type of drama that you must watch with less judgment and more empathy. Every character is battling their inner emotions. If you're a psychologist or psychiatrist or therapist, I think you'll enjoy this one a lot because the rhythm of the story does justify the development of the characters. You'll find all signs of the different types of depression, grief (and stages), the process of coping, and healing. The drama did deliver the audience comfort and warmth. The acting was really good, the 4 main actors did a great job, also, Eun Joo and Min Jung are characters that you will love. The cinematography is beautiful, the color palettes they used, etc, one of the best, so many scenes can linger on your mind because they were beautiful!
I personally love these types of dramas but I can definitely see why many people found it confusing or didn't like it. This drama was a sort of storytelling in which you need to pay attention to emotions and details. People get frustrated easily when they don't get something and are easy to form a preconceived opinion without thinking of the emotional state of someone. For that, I think it would have translated better on a web platform(like Netflix) than on TV because you can go backward and make some sense of what you don't understand or think reasons of why they have reacted that way taking into consideration their emotional state. I find it funny now that the director took the meaning of a hug to heart (A hug can indicate support, comfort, and consolation, particularly where words are insufficient. A hug usually demonstrates affection and emotional warmth, sometimes arising from joy or happiness when reunited with someone or seeing someone absent after a long time) so the romance is really PG-13 but cute and warmth that would make you wish to receive that type of affection more often. Not gonna lie, I did want to know if Jung Hae In was going to sum himself to Cool Chae Soo Bin list of Actors that she had kiss scene with that she has made nervous and shy lol
When I first heard they were going to release a drama version of Our shining days, I was quite skeptical because you need to fill a lot if you want to make an almost 2 hours movie into the usual 24 episodes that most Chinese dramas have. Not gonna lie, for me, the first episode felt awkward with the new characters and elements they added to the storyline, but by the second episode, that sensation faded so I was able to enjoy it more. Nevertheless, I think they did a great job with the pace and development of the drama. In my opinion, while they changed quite a bit, the essence and the core parts of the original were present and that what matters the most. Also, I really liked how they developed the backstory of each character and how you can see them prepare for the performances. Chen Jing and Li You personalities are the best. Overall, A great youth drama.
The only thing that could damage and make the series go downhill is how they develop the storyline, so far is simple but effective, and the lead actors are great, it seems that is Win first project, wow. he did so well carrying out the first episode, so natural. I know Bright has been doing dramas/series for Gmm25 and some other projects so he is a bit more experienced and he was good on them so you know he will do well here. I like that the comedic antics are more natural and not over the top like some series from GMMTV that sometimes is annoying and unbearable
The last battle was epic. For a manga adaptation, I think they did a great job with the pace of the story, it never felt that they were missing (like you always feel while watching a live-action) and even if they didn't put something from the manga, it went out seamlessly. That's when you know when an adaptation is well done. Yamazaki Kento character was a bit over the top but he did well as the leading actor with the character he was given, you can tell how much he has improved from his previous works. He always tries his best. Yoshizawa Ryo is such a great actor. I feel like he gets better each time you see him on a production. He portrayed both characters really well, the same face but totally different auras. His eyes are so expressive.
This show is really funny, I think the length of each episode was perfect for the humor they were trying to showcase, thus making it more enjoyable. Both actors are really good looking and they play their part really well.
Beautiful episode, but Dr Kim is much nicer in season 2 ... Refusing to treat a patient is a huge deal, but he…
My guess is because in this season he knows their background. For En Jae, the decision must come from within herself, she is the one that needs to believe she can do it and to set her anxiety aside, he can't choose for her there. For Woo Jin, probably He would have been a lot angrier if he hadn't shown up, but he needed him to realize that doctor are there to treat regardless of whom the patient is or what they did. You need to take into consideration that this season both leads are doctors that are still doing their training(fellowship) and still have a lot to learn, and that's why he comes across as a teacher because he's here to guide them to become the best doctors they can be. the difference between season 1 and 2, in season 1, Kang Dong Joo was already a General Surgeon specialist and even Yoon Seo Jung who took the longest road because of her injury was more experienced and seasoned than the current leads, so Master Kim was harsher. experienced doctors behaving like that probably annoyed him the most. Example this season Dr. Park, he acknowledges his skills but his attitude irritate him because he's a more experienced specialist ( I can't wait for that character development tbh)
Some might say that the storyline is boring and sometimes a bit dragging because it's not your typical bright drama storyline. This one takes a more realistic and simplistic route where not everything is perfect or gets resolve easily, also, that it's not heavy on the romance department( in my opinion, the leads still have a really cute and understanding/caring relationship,) so it might not be everyone cup of tea. I think that what's make this drama great is the cast selection. The lead actors were so good portraying their characters that made the storyline more appealing. The four lead chemistry is unbeatable and they have a wonderful bonding. The rooster sound xDD I always have Deng Lun high in the list of actors that I think they're great but I don't always like his co-stars so I pass some of his dramas, but when I read that Sandra Ma was the female lead I knew I should give this drama a try and I wasn't disappointed. She's one of the best.
