Yep you have to be patient. The story is really complicated also..so you have to pay attention or you will get lost in all the madness. Almost happened to me! XD.
Once you watch up to episode 5, most people/you might get hooked.

I'll start watching it in two weeks...currently I am occupied watching the drama Queen Seon Deok. Tell me what you think of it once you check it out!:D

Yep it is pretty long but it's a classic.

I think the first few episodes aren't that interesting...but once you get past that you will want to watch more.

Sageuks have a lot of plotting and scheming..so if you don't like that I would recommend watching something else.

Actually I haven't finished this yet. I am on ep 30 and I only started this a few days ago. I know about the death of Bi Dam/Kim Nam Gil and I have heard its heartbreaking to watch but I believe it stays true to historical times. Many rulers had to make sacrifices back in that day in age.

I can really think of anything off the top of my head,...but the feeling while watching is powerful and tragic.

Yes but its a classic. I would say watch it...it's worth it!

I just realized I might have gotten back to you a little late...you might have already watched it. :D

The romance is wonderful. The plot has a few minor flaws....but what makes it so worth it is the cast is beyond outstanding! Every character is interesting to watch. The only complaint I have is that the drama was 120 episodes and was cut down to 108...and so in the end the story felt rushed on the last episode.

I think I am going to wait till Empress Ki finishes airing too.

I might check it out...but for right now I am going to wait to see what other's think of it.

A little while ago I realized I had actually watched the first episode of Golden Empire. It was fairly good. I must have forgotten that I watched some of it somehow.

I heard about this one drama called Golden Cross. It seems like it has a lot of anti-heroes in it (my type of story). Have you heard about it?

I'm watching a historical drama from 2009 called Queen Seon Deok...its actually very good.

Yep he is pretty cute. I tried watching Mimi but it was too weird for me....(I couldn't even get to the second episode).

After episode 12 the list got longer of people I dislike in this drama. No Min Woo's character's manager, The taxi driver, the nanny, the police moles, the murder/kidnapper, and the husband/father can all go to hell!!

Really what did you like about it?

It's a long story but I will tell you a little preview of what its about. A woman gets involved with a king. The woman get's pregnant. The king find's out the woman's father is a traitor to the country and tells her father to commit suicide which he does. The woman escapes with a slave/mute man and the woman gives birth to 2 girls. One of them is the king's daughter the other the mute man's daughter. The mute man's daughter finds out her sister is a princess named Su Baek Hyang and being the evil sister she is, tries to take her place secretly and so the story begins.

I just saw episode 12 of GG and I must say I'm upset. I posted a whole rant in the feeds to get off my anger from the episode. I now have a whole long list of people I dislike in this drama : No Min Woo's manager, the taxi driver, the husband/father, the murder/kidnapper, the nanny, and the police moles.

I just discovered her in Soo Baek Hyang and I have to say I am amazed by her role as Solnan. What a briliant actress! She deserves more roles in dramas if you ask me.

Would it be so bad if I said I wanted the writer to kill him off? XD.

Well at least we still have Dong Chan to the rescue! :D He's our knight in shining armor.

Let it be said here and now that anyone who watched this drama never watched this drama. XD.

All what I have to say to the writer is this: "When do I get 22 hours of my life back?"
