Rather than the male actor’s age being the issue, it’s his acting. He is simply not a good actor. And despite being pushed very hard by his agency over the past few years, he has shown little improvement. Having him act alongside Kim Go Eun as the male lead is just going to expose all his flaws. I have to agree. I haven’t watched The Tale of Lady Ok but I’ve watched him in other projects and he always seems to get really outshined by the rest of the cast. I don’t understand how he manages to get all these roles with barely any talent to back it up. The fact that there are so many comments complaining about him being cast means that we can all see that he is simply not good and lacks range. Someone like Seo Kangjun or Yang Sejeong would’ve been amazing but if they really wanted another “rookie” actor there are plenty of others that deserve a shot. He is not even that fresh of an actor as he has had plenty of roles with little improvement. It would be nice to be proved wrong but I am having a hard time seeing that happening.

Have you watched Once Again (2020) with Lee Minjung and Lee Sangyeob? It’s probably the best family drama I’ve watched in years. It’s 50 episodes (100 episodes half episodes) but it never gets boring and doesn’t feel draggy at all, even the side stories are interesting.
I don’t have the highest hopes for this drama personally, going by the writer (only liked one of her dramas) and director, but who knows it might turn out better than expected.

She's officially one of my favorite actresses. Hated her in Shining Inheritance but loved her in The Princess' Man and currently loving her Nice Guy. She's a great actress, can't wait to see more of her in the future!
