People are complaining so much like someone has tied them to a chair and is forcing them to watch this show every…
I so agree!! I think we are seeing some effective and complex storytelling here and I am really enjoying it. I don’t know if others were expecting a romcom or more straightforward plot, but that’s not what the writer/director(s) were going for. I love that within a romance drama we are getting morally gray and complicated characters. I also love seeing the friend group’s stories; I think it shows different aspects of young adulthood, crushes, and relationships. Also, the friends’ issues and lives highlight the main couple’s issues; these characters are all imperfect and they’re not going to know the solution and be able to help ML/FL right away. I like that they all get to be flawed together and grow together.

Title Between Him and Her Spoiler
finally a decent comment. i don’t understand all the hate towards it?
ah, I see. I generally don’t like that content either but it hasn’t explicitly occurred with the main couple, right? Unless I missed something; I thought ML lied that he did to avoid hearing FL’a answer and FL never cheated. I know the friend cheated with his ex. But even then, I think this is very interesting drama and I don’t mind the story and pacing. I also think of it more like an ensemble cast so I like seeing the other stories, especially to break up how bittersweet the leads’ story is. I understand everyone has different preferences and opinions but the hate and toxicity in the comments seems excessive in my personal opinion. I don’t mind a drama with a bittersweet tone or a not-perfect ending, but it seems like other people want this to be a soft and fluffy rom/com — which I love as well, but I know this isn’t that.

Title Not Others
I really enjoyed this drama. I appreciated it for what it was, though I was kind of disappointed or confused by the final episode. Different than what I am used to, but perhaps that was the point. I think this drama turned a lot tropes and cliches on its head and that alone made it interesting; I also loved all of the cast. I watched for Sooyoung but became a fan of everyone else too.

Title Not Others
I was raised by a single mom so I understand the mother’s situation so well. I still don’t understand how…
Agreed. I found her character/perspective very refreshing and heartwarming. I rooted for Eun Mi as much as I did Jin Hee. Obviously part of her role was to be frustrating for her daughter to deal with but overall I didn’t think she was annoying.
