This whole thing has blown up in China, with the public talking about boycotting the 3 cps entirely which would cause the six actors a lot of damage - plus this author was actually boycotted both in China and Thailand during the original scandal. And the money she collected from the monetisation was meant to go towards a fan project for the Chinese ship, but she just embezzled it instead and then vanished. I think GMM believe airing this series would damage the 3 cp’s fanbases very much (especially in China) and would lead to a lot of hate, so they’re just trying to protect the actors right now.
