the 2000s japan vibes are strong with this one, the flip phones, the clothes, the hair... my goddd i absolutely love it, and ootani was so damn hot i was obsessed with his face ๐ญ and idc what anyone says, tachibana's teeth were sooo cute i could die every time he smiled, he looked adorable<3
i have to say i went in with little expectations since in old jbl it's easy to find problematic stuff, but in the end i smiled the whole time and almost cried bc of how sweet they were, so if you want to feel all giddy and happy, i 100% recommend you watch this movie !
"candy and kiss" but they didn't even kiss once ๐ this feels like it was made in the 80's but actually it's pretty recent to be doing fake kisses lol
Sorry whatttt noooo not a sad ending I was excited to watch this because in the trailer Rinko looked like such…
omg nooo sorry pls don't let my comment be the reason you don't watch this beautiful movie :( rinko IS such a good mother and i really recommend you watch her journey regardless of the ending (that btw it's not tragic, just not happy like i would've wanted it to be ๐ฅบ)
a horror movie.ย ย i watched it knowing the ending, but what i didn't expect was to think the castration wasn't enough lol. the king should've killed hong right there, but since he was deeply in love with him, he foolishly gave hong so many opportunities to go back to him without wanting to accept what was right in front of him: hong was already "in love" with someone else... but was he? how pathetic can you be that you "fall in love" just bc you put your d*ck in someone you didn't even have ONE conversation with (unless you count the endless sex scenes in every position possible as a conversation idk), and decide to betray, lie, and humiliate the one who's always had eyes only for you. ย my heart broke for the king really. everything he went through made me feel like i was watching a horror movie, and yes, he was stupid enough to be the reason they started fuc*ing in the first place, and i put the blame on him thinking it was only the consequences of his own actions, but halfway i understood himโand pity himโbecause he really just couldn't do it (to think the hot traitor of the subchief was begging to f him and he said no even though he knew hong was cheating on him; he was that devoted), and he wanted a son that was half the man he loved, so i really can't blame him for being blind and believing that hong would never be unfaithful to him, trusting their love :( so yes he may have castrated hongs d*ck, but you have to understand his heart was castrated first ๐ ย now what i can blame him for is using the queen and completely disregarding her feelings. i could never get the people who paint her as the villain; if anything, she's the true victim of this movie, except of course that she was the reason that the king died and nobody helped him but whatever, who can blame her honestly (that and song ji hyo was so breathtakingly beautiful i couldn't take my eyes off of her, but that's besides the point lmao).
it's as if the big dragon himself possessed sun and lin in the last nc scene bc imo that was the only time in the entire series that they did mosbanks chemistry justice. FINALLY we saw some real passion!!! every scene with them was sooo boring (i found myself way more invested in juldis and chan... and they were like the 4th couple lmao) but omggg when dancing with the devil started playing i almost pissed myself, they knew what they were doing!! tho i can't say it made the show worth it or that it made me forget about khun dad, but at least they gave us something at the very end ig. now let's just hope the next mosbank series has an actual plot pls ๐๐ป๐๐ป๐๐ป
it's not really a sukfilm series if jeong ri us character is not a jerk, am i right ๐ป but we got to give it to him; he does it very well, and we love him for it <3
interesting plot, but god how many sex scenes can a 2-hour movie need? i thought it was more of a psychological movie, but not really. it was pretty shallow and lacking, and i could understand the length of some of the nc scenes if they had some kind of meaning? or importance to the plot development, but they (the 7 or so of them, idk i lost count) were completely unnecessary and took me out of it every single time. bc tell me whyyy are they so long too. for a moment i even stopped the movie to check if i missed the pink film tag or something ๐ญ
on the other hand, i loved the artsy vibes, the music, and lilico was absolutely gorgeous, although i felt like the movieโthrough some characters and the movie itselfโhated pretty women, saying they are the problem bc they're "obsessed with beauty," but mentioned nothing about who set that system up, who created the standards that women are subjected to, or the society that reinforces and demands them. and what's so wrong if some women get surgery anyway? if anything, they were victims of that illegal clinic that took advantage of desperate women who would go crazy lengths just to feel good about themselves :(
i never watch chinese bl bc of the dumb censorship, but i decided to give this a chance and now i'm in shambles... why does the chinese gov hate love so much ๐ฅบ both couples are so sweet, and the actors worked so hard they don't deserve this ๐ญ๐ญ i really hope we get the remaining episodes but i doubt it :(
one of the best reality shows i've seen, even if 'dream guy' made some questionable choices... mick over sean? like yeah sure, pity can take you far, but mick over KEN and winning the whole thing? wild considering mick, along with kee and thong were the typical try-hards that were jealous of other contestants that got more attention, so they made bitchy comments and badmouthed them; when they talked, they looked straight out of a drag race confessional lol. but really, who even cares if the journey was so fun and enjoyable, you've got to give it to the thais to entertain. and chudjane got married this year, so at the end of the day, it couldn't matter less who he picked in the show.
and i don't really care if everyone hates nick, to me, he was the highlight of the show along with nutphob. they delivered the DRAMA and got everyone talking about them long after they were eliminated ๐ ๐ป you can't deny that the post-it kiss was 100% more exciting than the obviously staged sean-chudjane kiss ๐คญ and omg nutphob!!! what a MAN, he was my fave since the start, so i couldn't really blame nick for falling into his charm... and his lap lmaooo
i can't believe this... i thought i was going to see comments about important topics here, like, even if ikuta did a good job, who's portraying rinko should have been a woman actress (trans or cis). or maybe a discussion about how queer people can never have a happy ending and we have to accept it because it's "realistic." rinko just wanted to be a mother; why can't they at least give us a hint of a happier future for her? they just showed her crying on the floor, and that was the last we saw of her. it completely destroyed me.
but as you can see, that wasn't the case with this comment section. i came here bawling my eyes out over the devastating ending of this heartbreaking but beautiful movie, only to see some people in the comments calling it a bl? HUH?? ๐ญ or saying rinko is not a real girl because she's a "pre-op" woman, discussing her body, referring to her with male pronouns, calling her creepy, a fake woman, even the t slur, like EXCUSE ME????? it's absolutely ridiculous, and i'm baffled that someone who watched a movie like close-knit speaks about a trans woman like this.ย
if you're transphobic first, you're disgusting, and second, you shouldn't be watching this movie and ruining the comment section (and even some reviews ๐) with your transphobia. now i'm not just sad but i'm mad, so thanks for reminding me that even this isn't a safe place, i was wrong to expect respect for trans people in the comments of a movie with a trans mc, apparently.

2. if i had a childhood friend and suddenly saw them naked i wouldn't f them, but you do you ig
3. ...weird
4. cute but wasted potential with the cake imo

also, it has the best ending a military movie could ever have. in fact, all military movies should end just like this one :)
