Red Moon was such a big let down, glad this installment made up for it. Have full expectations that Sword and Beloved will be a fantastic finish to the series

Fox Spirit Matchmaker is about spirits via the Fox Spirits reuniting humans with their spirit lovers once humans have died. That's their sole purpose as it's a pact they have to reunite in the next life.

So these stories go between timelines. They explore the initial timeline of the pact then the future timeline when they are re-united

I've watched the Manga and pretty much all come at the same time. Except Love and Pavilion which mentioned as it's the prequel

It's like the Resident Evil 2 & 3. Happening at same time
2 is Claire and Leon in Racoon City and 3 is Jill and Carlos in Racoon City

Might as well watch Red Moon after this as Sword and Beloved could come out in 2 years all we know

Fox Spirit Matchmaker is funny because it's about 12 arc stories and all are scattered both within the manga/anime and Dramas.

To answer your question which will do to my best

1. Red Moon if want to explore more the story of the Main 2 characters in the anime which was Yang Mi and Gong Jun character
2. Love in Pavilion if you want to explore the prequel story before the main characters coming into the story
3. The drama yet to be aired Sword and Beloved if you want to explore the secondary characters story which is probably the most intense story of the arcs according to many anime fans. The main male lead is cousins with Gong Jun character and the main female lead is a spider spirit. This is probably the most moving arc hence also like love in Pavilion has a dedicated drama to it and big names playing the role

This is something that confirms possibly GZT is the Male Lead as he replaced Zhu Yawen. But classifications can change. I say whatever no big deal what they put the male classification as. Either way is fine and either way works

It may be say a sister drama with female leads but even sister dramas have male pairings. It's fine label the males as supports but they are still paired to that lead actress

Hello all, sorry kids and life have made it difficult for me to start this drama, but really do want to start soon. Been reading and see mixed reviews on this drama but to me mixed reviews on any drama is standard. I try to ignore the people that say it's horrible a few episodes in and the same that say this drama is so good because long dramas tend to get stagnant at a few points and in contrast do also pick up. I ignore ratings this early especially when half the drama has not been aided

What is the vibe so far?
Is this a solid drama, enjoying it or kind of mixed feelings?

I haven't started, busy with kids but keen start soon. I heard a little childish?

No problems. Might need do translate of the novel to gain insights. Just like yourself I think there will be romance. That's what these leads sign on for in big dramas

Does anyone know Miaoyan role in this drama, is the character a fairy?

I find it hard to believe no romance angle will be done in this story. I'm am sure Wang Hedi and Li Qin would of pushed for it being part of the story especially 40 episodes. I get it's a novel adaptation but they always tweak things up when doing it via television drama. Someone tell me I am 100% wrong

Please don't waste your time with Red Moon, reviews are horrible and Yang Mi and Gong Jun fans never came to their rescue

The next two dramas need to completely break away from Red Moon and do their own thing

Watch the actual Manga on YouTube. It total will probably take you three hours to go through the entire story or you can just watch the arcs relating to this drama.

Reason for Red Moon failure is they did not stick to the actual story. The character Yang Mi was playing was suppose to be a 15 year old girl and Gong Jun was suppose to be playing a 16 year old boy. Fans of the Manga rejected this and the stories in their version were boring and lazy

Don't waste your time and enjoy this drama for what it is
