I used to love this drama back when i was young and naive but now, i can see all the problems with it, especially after watching the better Taiwanese version. Naoki is just too cold. I used to defend him saying that he had always been emotionless andhe was just now learning how to express emotion but now even that isn’t a good excuse for his behavior. Why do you treat your own wife with such coldness? Why did you marry her if you hardly ever show that love you claim to have for her? It takes your poor wife breaking under your harsh treatment and running away from your house just for you to realize, "oh, i'm just jealous." Like, no. Red flags everywhere. The fl isn't much better. She's so figuratively blind with love. Sometimes, she'll come to her senses and confront her husband about how he treats her but then go right back to trailing after him like a lovesick puppy after he half heartedly apologizes. Sometimes she can be cute too but most of the time it gets annoying how blind she is to the fact that her husband is a nitwit stone cold heart who doesn't even try his best to keep her happy despite claiming he loves her. I don't think i'll ever watch it again. If you're looking for a sweeter Naoki and a less(even by a little) annoying Kotoko, i recommend the Taiwanese version. There's such a positive difference and the skinship is *mwah* much better all while still staying true to the original story. 3/10
