I'm glad you got my point because i feel like I'm the only one pointing this out, since the ratings are so high. It's part if the plot and it would have been okay if they had adressed it at some point, like to be something more than just a random BL : to carry a message against toxic relationships

I fully understand that, and it would resolve a few issues. But some of them would still be there and I believe they won't change it in the remake. Maybe I'm wrong but so far I'm not optimistic

One thing that strikes me is how they don't use the parents' names but X's father / mother and it even goes as far as the child's house

I've watched it a few months ago and I'd say it's not that bad, it's quite enjoyable for the sake of the actors and the CGI, th plot isn't anything new or original, but if you want to watch something when you're bored, that isn't hard to understand, I'd recommend it.
It's not scary either ( I'm a scaredy-cat so i know what I'm sayin )
