Best mature BL ML on-screen chemistry
It is not often we get to see this kind of natural on-screen chemistry of two male leads in a show, but My Stubborn delivered. This an adult drama that may be to risqué for some viewers; the story itself was not the most creative, the SL acting was mediocre, but Boat and Oat delivered a performance that was so believable and natural it felt voyeuristic to watch. I hope we get to see more of this pairing in future shows, with better stories. They managed to make the weak script shine.Was this review helpful to you?
A Poignant Coming of Age Drama
I loved this series for its depiction of trauma, forgiveness and love in a homogynistic society. Sure, the story could have gone into more depth and fleshed out the characters more (especially the 2nd leads) but it was still a beautiful drama that showed how complex emotions can be for teens navigating their sexuality in a world where being gay is not accepted by others.Was this review helpful to you?
The best adult "BL" to date
This is not your typical bl, but a mature bl that depicts the difficulties one had to undergo in a world that was harsh and discriminating towards same-sex relationships. I rate this a 10 for its original story set in a time of political unrest, as well as its realistic portrayal of the different choices and sacrifices that were made for the person they loved but were not allowed to.Was this review helpful to you?
