I've been having lots of problems with Viki so it's been tough to see the episodes. But I am through ep 4 now. I like how light this is. And of course the leads are nice to look at. He does look so much better without the hat.
I'm going to say this, if you are going to dump all over the basketball plot, why are you here? Is it just to…
I feel like this is aimed at me. :-) My objection isn't to the fact that the two characters bonded over a love of basketball. It's the ham-handed way the series has indulged in every sports movie trope surrounding their love of basketball. The evil coach bit. The rag-tag team of misfits who comes together against all odds... The need for them to play one last game against evil coach that they must win on a last-second shot. Fah coming out of nowhere to save the day. Way too much time devoted to evil coach (who's always dressed in all black for goodness sakes!!) subplots. That's been my objection.
The music in this show is hilarious. I think we're all in agreement that the subplots are an unnecessary, boring distraction. They upped the product placement game in this episode.
I liked this episode even with all of the edits. I don't even really care about the parts that don't make any sense anymore. Phat was looking extra cute in this episode.
This notion that if Dome just breaks up with Vee's sister then it would be ok for them to date doesn't seem realistic. Isn't the sister still going to be upset if her own brother is boinking her ex-BF?
I like their chemistry. And that little bit of beefcake was a nice addition. The eye candy is enough to keep me from being bored - between the boys and that beautiful campus...
So many product placed snacks! Don't Thai kids eat anything healthy? :-)
