We're seeing a huge wave of romantic dramas where the writers feel the need to create over-the-top twists every week to keep the plot interesting (which doesn't always work). *Melo Movie* manages to stand out by breaking away from this pattern, bringing a simple and engaging story, where we follow the growth of the characters both professionally and personally. It was definitely exactly the kind of story we needed right now.
Well, in my opinion, this kdrama suffered an exaggerated wave of haters due to pure tantrums from annoying people, it has flaws like any other but somehow, based on the comments I read, I was scared to start and when I started I realized that the public is just being too boring not to be entertained by it.
At the beginning of the story I was so confused but when everything started connecting and I finished watching I could only think that we are receiving a luxurious feast from this director, and the fact that the story is from the same universe as Moving makes me so excited for the second season. I also want to highlight Bo Young's work, even though she didn't have scenes as dramatic as she did in Daily Dose of Sunshine, her character was still something so comforting that it made my heart warm a little.
