I went into this movie blind.. worst decision of my life!! It’s an amazing movie but I wasn’t expecting it to be the saddest thing I’d ever seen! I thought I was going to throw up from how hard I was sobbing. I saw Silenced reccommended on a Reddit post as a horror movie, so I expected to be scared, not completely shattered. If you plan on watching this, make sure you’re in a good headspace!

they were necessary to show how selfish and psychopathic a human might become when faced with extreme power and extreme fear. it is awful and niragi deserved to die, but it’s just reality that evil people live amongst us. in the real world, who knows if he would have actually done that, but the scenes show that in borderland, people’s true selves are shown— usagi and arisu are kind at their core, while niragi is evil at his core, yet either way, they are humans and are all in the same general situation. it makes us question, why would so many kind people seemingly be chosen to experience the same evils as terrible people like niragi? and the answer is that it’s just how life is, and it’s up to each person to make what they can of it.

i don’t think the nude scenes were unnecessary. the boombaya scenes were necessary to show their character and who they are. for example, with the girl that was in the first game in season 1 (i forgot her name lol) it was to show that she would use sex as a manipulation tactic, which shows to us that she didn’t really like Chota, she was just using him. Some of the sex scenes were also to show how human nature and selfishness really manifests itself in Borderland. And if you’re talking about Kyuma, he states why he doesn’t wear clothes and it makes a lot of sense when you think about what the show is about and what it’s trying to teach us.
