my thoughts on this is that instead of hellfire which is powerful when bearer is devoid of emotions, DFQC learned glazed fire instead. fire of compassion and love that has been lost in the ancient times.
This drama is everything I never expected it to be. It has brought me joy, tears, excitement, laughter, etc. I have watched previous fantasy dramas in the past but none gave me all "7" emotions (lol). I will definitely miss it. Although I wished the ending had given justice to the rollercoaster ride we were given and a bit more screen time for our XLH and DFQC. Like they lived happily in the arbiter hall. DFQC's dream is more vivid and lengthy compared to the ending. I don't know why but it still makes me sad.
This is the first ever drama I watched that made me join a streaming platform outside of Netflix, register at MDL, want to learn mandarin, and look for all content Dylan Wang and Esther Yu related. Haha! Thank you to the director, cast, and crew, who made this an epic journey.

yes, they did. they shared a kiss and that was it. a little dissapointing. they could have added more to the story. kids, etc. the HE didn't give justice to the rollercoaster journey of these two.
