Okay, what did I just watched?! I felt like I have wasted all the time watching the drama for this kind of ending. I did feel the story was a little unorganized halfway through, but still tried to stick with it. But nope, it's just bad. However, the actors are all great! Just the story writing and plot is a huge no!
I'm at episode 20 right now and honestly, I want to like the show but it's so difficult. It's going round and round with no ends. FL just keeps going back and forth with ML without thinking logically. He's been protecting her since forever, she needs to uncover the truth, not let the past mistakes pull her away from the right person. And the plot about 'Master saved me, so I'm going to blindly listen to his orders' in historical drama is way too common..
I was really into this drama when it started, but I'm not sure why the plot went downhill after Jiang taohua fell off the cliff.. it feels kind of unnecessary because the story became so draggy hovering around the 3rd prince. And as always, the emperor is the most frustrating person in every drama.. I did skipped alot of scenes for the last few episodes. I guess it's now a 'watch if you have nothing else to watch' kind of drama.
Am I the only one who feels that the FL acting wasn't good at all? From ep 1 till the end, her expressions are very flat. I was expecting more from her because the title is literally The Rise of Ning. But the story is not showing that, it's more of the other sisters, Shen Yuan and Lu Jiaxu. I have watched many other dramas whereby the FL grows from weak to strong and it's portrayed way better than this..
Completed the drama.. not sure what to feel since it's neither a sad nor happy ending. The whole thing about his brother could be avoided, but I guess it's not easy in the past. Yueqin is also a very redundant character.. he didn't really do much to help anything at all. Wouldn't say the drama is bad but definitely lacking! The actors are great at least!
Almost finished watching this drama. The story is not so bad, but there are times when I feel awkward watching the main couple and the second couple. I don't feel 'sweet' actually, as both couples don't seem to suit one another. Not sure if it's because of their acting, but the FL's acting is quite good as compared to the others, maybe just not the right ML for her.
Also, when the incident happened and everyone blamed the ML, they could have stayed together and work it out instead of just leaving her behind alone to fight for the rights. What happened to all the promises he made to her and the parents?
FL character is mature enough to accept everything and get things done. It will only be 'sweet' if they have been by each other's side through the tough times. But overall, it's still worth a watch if you ran out of dramas!
Already finished the drama few days ago.. at first I thought it was interesting, with a little funny element from the FL, but it starts to get a little annoyed because the FL just keeps wanting to go home. Then all of a sudden, she liked Li Xiong just with that few scenes together. I didn't feel any romance or connection between Qi Pa and Li Xiong characters. It felt rushed? The ending was also 'that's it'. I personally would say it's an okay drama overall.
Ok so...I managed to finish the whole drama. But I don't watch it because I like it, more like I'm bored so I just watched it. The transition of every scene was weird and the voices also doesn't sync well with their movement. The story was kind of bad.. the acting feels off too, not sure is it the directing problem or editing problem.. but I would say this drama is quite terrible. If you don't like wasting time, then I suggest skipping this!
