BEST PERFECT SHAMELESS COUPLE
This is the kind of drama that made me watch it from the very first day it aired until the very end without skipping a single episode! It’s been so long since I’ve followed a show this closely. At first, the drama was so funny that I couldn’t stop laughing at their shameless actions. Usually, a drama that starts with so much laughter ends up being sad, but I still decided to keep watching till the end. And now that it’s finished airing, I’ve finished it too and it actually has a happy ending! Finally, a drama that truly made me feel it was worth following all the way through.
There’s one scene I remember is when Ming Yi gives Ji Bozai the sword she made. He kisses her, and she says, “Have you no shame?” That line instantly made me laugh because, honestly, since when did they ever have shame? 😂 They’ve always been so shameless with each other, and maybe that’s why, when they were apart, they didn’t even realize how much they missed that closeness.

Boring, not make sense, too much useless scene, but it still a good movie I think
I might get some hate for this, but this drama honestly wasn't the best. I’ve seen much better work from Hou Minghao, like Love in the Cloud. While I’m trying not to be biased, this show only held my attention for the first 10 episodes; after that, it became incredibly boring. There were so many filler scenes that I found myself flying through 3 or 4 episodes in a single hour just to get through it. By the time I reached the end, the scenes felt useless, the plot was confusing, and the overall execution was just... "meh."For example, why did when Dreamshard Immortal appear Hong Ye in scenes always involving prison and torture? Even Zhao Liying, who is my favorite, had a role that genuinely frustrated me. The female lead and supporting roles were equally exhausting to watch.
Then there is Bing Zhu, who constantly say about killing "evil" demons while he is slowly turning into one himself. The hypocrisy was hard to watch!
The time-travel where Xiaoyao returns to her past as Ning An started off well, But When she come back to the present not long enough, she met the 3 demon that want her to go to the past again to see why they have grudge on Hong Ye and then the story dragged on by having her go back yet again as a **Demon Lord**. It felt like the writers were just trying to stretch the episode count.
The constant, repetitive fighting between the humans and demons grew tireless. Furthermore, the logic of the side characters made no sense like Long Zhi why did she think killing Hong Ye’s family would benefit the demons or help Xiaoyao? It was a reckless move. and Ao Hen on more I don't even want to talk about him. He claims he wants "revenge" on Hong Ye, yet he is the one torturing Hong Ye and killing his people. The fact that he thinks Hong Ye is the one who needs to "pay" is ridiculous.
even the kiss scene scene is hard to watch maybe it better to not kiss.

Second Collab but the Ending Didn’t Hit
I started watching this drama because I found out the main couple had a second collaboration together. And since it’s a short mini drama, I thought I would just try it out and I actually really liked it at first. The female lead’s voice is so cute, and her outfits were totally my style, so I enjoyed watching her a lot.In the beginning, their relationship felt sweet and natural. The chemistry was there, and it made me smile. But as it got closer to the ending, I started to feel that the story became a bit boring. The ending was rushed I understand it’s a mini drama, so the pacing is faster, but for me, the ending is the most important part when I rate a drama.
And in this case, their relationship developed too quickly towards the end. It didn’t feel realistic anymore, and the emotional connection didn’t have enough time to grow. So even though I really liked the start, the ending didn’t meet my expectations.

no unique plot
This drama was okay, not the best, but not too bad either. The main problem for me is that it didn’t have a unique plot of its own. The storyline felt too familiar, almost like something I’ve already seen in other dramas. It was also too obvious that when the villain appeared, I could already guess who it was, and guess what? I was actually right! Because of that, the whole story became predictable. The ending also felt rushed and didn’t make much sense, which left me feeling a bit disappointed even though the drama started off fine. Was this review helpful to you?

Recommend for comedy drama - Yummyx3
Honestly, I didn’t expect much when I first started this drama. I only watched it because I’ve seen the female lead in a few other dramas and liked her performances, so I decided to give this one a try.At the beginning, the story had a lot of funny moments. I laughed so hard at some scenes, especially because of Lin Yan’s reactions he was just too hilarious. But when it got to the middle episodes, I started to feel annoyed by the female lead’s father and brother. Their actions were so selfish and full of themselves. Still, the main leads’ scenes kept me watching.
When Lin Yan and Ji Cai finally had to distance themselves from each other for a few episodes, that part really hit me. I loved those emotional moments so much. The female lead family always said to Lin Yan that he was one of their “family,” but when they found out about her and Lin Yan’s feelings, they immediately tried to separate them, leaving Lin Yan completely innocent and heartbroken.
At first, I thought the sad scenes made sense for the story, but the more I watched, the more I felt sorry for Lin Yan. The plot twist really surprised me too, though I admit, some parts still left me a bit confused.
At least the main leads got to marry and be a couple for a while before she returned to the modern world. I’ve been trying to come up with theories for the ending, but no matter how I think about it, there’s always something that doesn’t make sense. OMG.
Still, I really enjoyed this drama more than I expected. It made me laugh, cry, and think definitely worth watching! 💖

Still worth drama
Just finished The Mystic Nine: Qing Shan Hai Tang and omg it’s way too short 😭 only 1h14m. I watched The Mystic Nine a long time ago and since I saw there might be a season 2, I came back to rewatch and also check out this spin-off. Even though the actors aren’t the same, the story still gave me all the feels. Honestly, this drama is still the best even if you only watched the original and not the whole series, coming back to it again feels so worth it. And can we talk about the bromance between Zhang Qishan and Er Yuehong?? I’m not even into BL, but their chemistry was so good, I loved it 🥹. Wish it was longer, but it brought back so many good memories. Was this review helpful to you?

BEST TO WORST REACTION
I don’t usually watch modern dramas, but I decided to give this one a try, and at first, I really enjoyed it. The first half of the story pulled me in so much that I thought it might become one of my favorites. However, as the series drew closer to its conclusion (around 4–5 episodes before the finale), I began to lose interest. I found myself skipping so many scenes that sometimes I only spent 10 minutes on an entire episode. The conflict between the male lead and female lead over the “lie” was so frustrating, it felt childish and unnecessary. Honestly, if he hadn’t known she came from the future, she probably wouldn’t have told him either, so I couldn’t understand why she acted like it was all his fault.
The second couple also annoyed me. The guy just kept following the girl around like a slave, and it was painful to watch instead of sweet. And as for the ending… it felt pretty dull and unsatisfying compared to the strong start.
Overall, I’d say this drama had a great beginning, but the weak conflicts and flat ending really dragged it down.

Pain, Family, etc
I watched this drama in just one day; it kept me watching and even made me cry from the very beginning. At first, I thought one episode being around an hour long would feel too much, but somehow I finished them all without even realizing the time. What I liked is that every character had their own pain, there wasn’t really a “happy ending” for anyone, which made the story emotional and heavy. However, one thing that annoyed me was how the adults kept blaming the kids instead of taking responsibility themselves. Even when the kids didn’t do anything wrong, the adults always claimed it was “for their best,” which felt unfair.
The constant jumps between past and future also made me a little dizzy at times, since the transitions weren’t always clear. There are still some parts I don’t fully understand, and the ending wasn’t what I expected at all.
Overall, it’s a good drama, emotional, heavy, and worth watching if you like stories that focus on pain, family, and magic happening, but be ready for a complicated timeline and an ending that leaves you unsatisfied.
