the end scene of episode 8 just made me cringe in so many different ways lmao. but in the end i just hope no one gets hurt even though i know it's bound to happen :( anyways i want to be best friends with shiwoon
from the way this is going, i'm pretty certain shinwoo is endgame for taekyung (because why would they set up shinwoo's crush and middle school backstory without there ever being payoff for that?), however i do feel that daon and taekyung's closeness/relationship will be good for both of them in terms of personal development. taekyung is clearly attached to daon because he is the first person to show him genuine and unconditional kindness, and daon seems to like him too. at the very least, even if daon doesn't end up having romantic feelings for taekyung, he is still opening up to him and in turn opening up to himself which will be important for him in the long run. i actually don't mind who taekyung ends up with (even if i am rooting for shinwoo at this point) because i trust this show to handle the story well and give us an ending we will love.
namgoong is such an involved character despite not being a love interest, he seems to be aware of everything and is encouraging everyone to say what they feel without being pushy. i'm not entirely sure what sohee's purpose is yet but she seems to be a pretty typical plot device at this point. i hope she realizes that she's overstepping boundaries and has some sort of development.
sidenote: one thing this show does really well is using their runtime properly. a lot happens in each 20 minute episode and it feels substantial. it makes me happy to know that the showrunners are treating this like a proper full-length series.
