You completely missed the point of my question. It had nothing to do with strong female character or being a heir to the crown/throne. My question was simply about statistics. How is it a Queen and several concubines (I think there were 8 concubines, but I'm not entirely sure) have been shown as only having male offspring and not a single one of them having a female offspring. How is that even statistically possible. So I was curious if they ever addressed that in the show because I find it hard to believe that nine women having biological children with a man only happen to have male children and no female child.
Question - Was it ever addressed in the drama if any of the consorts or the Queen ever had any female children and what happened to them? I am still on episode 6 and I see only male children and no mention of any of the consorts or the Queen ever having given birth to a female child.
