Well he is Hwansu level so he can be a soul shifter without running wild. They mentioned in the earlier episode that every soul shifter eventually runs wild and needs to suck on other peoples energy in order to survive except if they are Hwansu level.

Was Master Lee bluffing that he is a soul shifter and that he is really an old soul in a young man's biological body or was he being honest? I can't tell anything anymore. I thought being a soul shifter required the practice of Alchemy of Souls which was a taboo/banned sorcery so it was pretty gutsy of him to just come out in the open in front of the King and say .. yeah I'm a soul shifter.
