It is not clear what algorithm MDL uses to come up with the final rating. They do seem to break the rating down in three categories - Currently Watching, Dropped, Verified/Star. It is quite possible that they use a weighted average and in that case it would make sense that a rating from a verified/star user has more weight. But again, all speculation. MDL is not transparent about how they calculate the rating.

It is pathetic and disappointing to hear people bitch all the time about something for the other. "Episode is too filler, it is too much comedy, too much romance, oh they dropped the FL I'm not ever watching this anymore." It is the same old, tired crap. There is always something or the other over and over and over and over again. So just stating a fact that no matter how amazing a drama is that people will always find something or other to be unhappy about. It is really pathetic and disappointing for someone like you to resort to personal attacks like calling me 'rabid'. Oh well I guess I must be a soul shifting fan and running wild and rabid?
