How do you consider a 7.8 on a scale of 1-10 to be "that bad"? Please make some sense.
Simmer down buttercup. No reason to get so hysterical. I haven't watched this drama. I have no idea if this drama is good or bad. I'm asking. It is a question. Not a statement. Certainly not a verdict. Also, bad is a relative term. There are countless MDL dramas here that have a much higher rating RELATIVE to this drama. People tend to rate better dramas higher.

Have you checked out the MDL ratings of many of the dramas? There are soooo many that have a rating of 9.0 or more. Countless have a rating of 8.0 or more.

There are always exceptions, but for the most part (not always), my personal experience has been that I've found the MDL ratings for Korean dramas fairly reliable. Like I said there are always exceptions but in my experience those exceptions are few and far in between. I'm sure others may have had a different experience where they regularly find MDL ratings out of step with the actual quality of the drama and that's okay too. That's just not been my experience.
