I have this on my radar because of Jing Boran cuz he's just hot as *&% and also because this is a "BL" adaptation although I believe there is some dispute and disagreement on whether the original novel is truly BL or not.

Sometimes I wish they cast gay actors to play gay roles. Gay and trans actors should not have to compete against straight ones for gay and trans roles. But that is just my opinion. Oh well.

I do like Bad Buddy, a lot but I hope your thoughts and opinions don't jinx this drama. The reason I say this is because Bad Buddy is STILL ONGOING. It hasn't finished yet. They could totally botch this up and ruin this. Plenty of opportunity for them to do that. We still have 3 more episodes to go. Let's just wait until the drama ends before implying that it is God's gift to mankind and the best thing since sliced bread.

On an unrelated side note, it was disturbing to see rape being normalized in the final episode between Kengkla and Techno. When you have sex with someone without their consent (in this case Techno was drunk and passed out) then that is rape. Plain and simple. I was disturbed by it and it ruined what otherwise was a drama I rather liked for the most part.

That sounds like a valid reason. I would not want to work with homophobic coworkers. I know there is a big debate here in the US in Hollywood whether it is appropriate for straight actors to portray gay and transgendered characters. It is hard as it is for gay and transgendered people to rise through the ranks living in this hetero-normative world and societies. Gay and transgendered actors should not have to compete against straight ones for gay roles. But if it is hard to find gay and trans actors that are open and out, then at the very least don't cast homophobic people to play these roles.
