My understanding is that The China Association of Performing Arts has called for his boycott. QQ Music and Netease Music have removed Zhang Zhehan's songs from their platforms, which included “Faraway Wanderers” and “Lonely Dream” from Word of Honor OST. Youku removed the actor's name from Word of Honor casts list. Sina has shut down Zhang Zhehan's personal and studio Weibo account. He has been dropped by all his 27 business endorsements as well as a film and a variety show in the same day.

Yeah, it has all spiraled out of control.

There are plenty of rumors out there so no body really knows what seems to be the delay in airing this. Best is not to believe in any of the rumors because they range from the plausible to wild and crazy. I've heard from poster on here that apparently it is pretty normal for C-dramas to air 2 or even 3 years after they've finished filming.

Word of Honor aired pretty soon too, I believe only 4 months after it had finished filming.

Yeah, that is what I hear that apparently it is very normal for C-dramas to air 2 years, 3 years after they have finished filming. So sad.
