At the beginning of ep 2 she says that she wants a divorce after the contracts ends and she’ll take all the blame.

It is because she doesnt´t want long term marriage and faking a relationship with a good friend is too awkward.

i looked it up and u have to be at least 40 years old in SK to become the prime minister. But since it´s fiction I wouldn´t apply that here. Probably early to mid thirties
