I think it's "overrated". Pedro Guida's points regarding contrived plots, badly written dialog, and inconsistent characterizations are right on point. Some directors and writers (certainly not all) seem to make the mistake that a "drama" can't have some resemblance of realism, with "real characters" portryaing "realistic" life situations and it still be enjoyable drama. And, BTW, "real life" can be as "dramatic" as it gets.....

Oh, I had forgotten that. Thanks! BTW, I've not read any of the books. So, if P.'New was simply following the book, then I'll have to rethink my comment about he and the writers.

Maybe once all the animosity between the managers of Perth and Saint calms down, the director may consider doing a season 2. I'm sure that the director, sponsors, and production crew realized they had a "winner" on their hands with this series....And, personally, I'd like for them to at least do enough episodes to resolve some of the stories left unfinished, like Tin/Can' story, not to mention the awful thing Kengkla did to No....please don't let that kind of image remain attached to an otherwise good BL series. But, like the others, it just one person's opinion.

You may be right about Korn and Knock. I'll have to go back and look at that episode again, I do recall that Knock did not like what occurred, though. I agree about your comment on the blackmail. I agree the writers went way off base with that, even if they were attempting to show that Kengkla was a manipulative little piece of c**p as was setup by his character.

But, I still hope the writers and the director do at least a special to complete the Tin/Can story, and not just leave everything hanging.

I agree with Lory. The "rape" thing was NOT okay! But, unfortunately, that seems to occur often in BL series (it was this way with Korn & Knock in TWM, and with both sets of main characters in MIR, Fuse and Tee, as well as, Book and Frame). Having sex with someone who is drunk (OR WHO SAYS NO) is not cool. It's a sexual assault, "rape". And this idea that you fall in love with your rapist , after they have sexually assaulted you, is just plain wrong. I understand that there's the fan-service to consider. BUT, GIVE ME A BREAK! Is this really the way we want to portray relationships between young people (whether they be BL or straight)? It's not healthy, it's not romantic, it's not cool, and in the West, especially in the United States, it's not legal....

Yeah, they need a season 2. But, if they don't or can't maybe they could do a "special" episode of the completion of the Tin/Can love journey. Their story needs finishing......

I just wish the writers had allowed Tin and Can to at least have a chance for future happiness. Now, I guess we'll never know......ahhhhhh

Good point! But, I guess it goes back to the "fan culture" thing. Many of the BL shows, including TNC, the "fans" are tween-agers/adolescents to teenagers/young adults (and probably mostly girls), and are likely still in that fantasy mindset about relationships.

In reviewing the previous posts, I felt the need to make a comment as well. I agree with all that stated being an adult does have its challenges. Being an adult, I can attest that I, and most adults I know have challenges nearly everyday. But, back to Ep. 7. Yes, cheating on a significant other is a reality to some (if not more than some) relationships. And, yes, there are those occasions in which forgiveness for infidelity is also part of the relationship. But, that is also one of the challenges. People in relationships, BL, LGBT+, and straight forgive their partners/loved ones/spouses/signficant others for a whole host of things that happen in the relationship, including infidelity. Is this a good thing or not? I'm not sure that is an easy question to answer. Because, I agree with the poster that made the comment about "forgiveness". I strongly believe that if you're in a relationship and you truly love the other person, then there is always a place for "forgiveness" no matter what the transgression. HOWEVER, that does not necessarily mean that the relationship will continue. There is nothing that says you can't forgive a person and still break up with him/her. Because, as another poster commented, in a real relationship, a faux pas such as cheating on your partner can irrevocably and forever change the nature of that relationship (and often times not for the better). If TNC is trying to portray a more realistic approach to having a "relationship", then the challenge is for the writers to allow the characters of Knock and Korn to face that challenge with all the complexities that would be in an actual relationship. That might make for an interesting end to this season. Maybe that is what the writers and producers were going for.
