I think crying, begging for forgiveness, and directly confessing his feelings is a little more than "half-heartedly".…
I must again respectfully disagree with your perspective regarding manipulation, which requires "intent, and malicious intent." That can be true. However, it can just as easily (if not more) be readily associated with the stemming of deep-seated insecurities, learned behaviors, or a lack of self-awareness. And this perspective clearly describes Sorn and his behavior (as well as the behavior of players). You can certainly choose to disagree. However, I hear and respect your perspective.
The overly flirtatious, sexual innuendo, and coyness Kanin is using with Charan that is stereotypically associated infatuated schoolgirls. His character wasn't presented this way when Charan first met him England. It's understandable if Khanin would fall for Charan after he had taken care of and saved life several times. However, this side of Khanin just came out of nowhere π³. That's what I mean.

I must respectfully disagree that what I stated was a "distortion." That's simply your perception. My perception is that it was all part of the manipulative game Sorn has been playing with Jun. There was nothing in "Sorn's words" indicated that he was being truthful. All the things you noted were more indicative or a "player" not a "lover."
I'm liking the way the series is finally delving back into some more serious tones, rather than focusing solely on the fantasy elements. But I still don't like NuNew playing the oversexed schoolgirl routine. I think it's beginning to get old.
I received a lot of interesting comments about my post that I don't think Sorn and Jun should end up together. There were many great insights and revelations associated with those discussions. I learned a lot from the other posters, and for that, I thank you all."
However, while watching yesterday's episode, I was immediately reminded of why I made my original comment. Now, maybe my subs were wacky, but Sorn seemed to be the same possessive, arrogant SOB I originally thought him to be. He's a messed-up coo coo bird! He still was playing games with Jun's emotions (i.e., "No, I'm telling you when I first liked you. You tell when you first liked me."). I paraphrased, by the way.
What Sorn was missing was the wild sex he was having with Jun (and probably Jun was missing it too). Other than the couple of times Sorn half-heartedly said "I like you," there was nothing remotely like romance or romantic intentions in the conversation. Sorn even went so far as to tell Jun, "When will you be ' my' Jun again?" WTF! Now, I will give it to Sorn during the conversation in the car, where he mentioned "he wanted to introduce him to his mother as her new son-in-law." That was more like it. The rest of the interactions seem selfish on Sorn's part. Now, others may have seen it differently. But, I would respectfully disagree. THAT'S MY STORY AND I'M STICKING TO IT! LMFAO!!!!!!!
I agree with what you're saying about Sorn not being the nicest to Jun, but I think he is just not into anything…
Agreed that "after awhile, he started to realize that there was indeed something more," still doesn't justify using someone as your sexual plaything "until you decide you actually have feelings for them." I also agree that fear can make you become a fool. However, I say again, if this were a straight couple (where Jun was the female) instead of a BL, would you honestly have the same feeling about Sorn's behavior?
I know this is fiction, and I get it that the fan-service is rooting for Sorn. But, it seems that many are downplaying Sorn's selfishness, manipulative, and doggish behavior in favor of the ship. I think that's messed up. For once, I'd like to see a BL where the arrogant, SOB, seme/top actually get what they deserve and that "is not get the guy in the end and the guy get with someone better!". LMFAO!!!

Agreed. But wouldn't that mean that Sorn was using Jun for sex and nothing more? π€ Many of the posters commented that Sorn wasn't being what I thought he was being, a selfish dog using a younger person for his sexual pleasure. Except when Sorn finally admitted to Tai that he liked Jun, Sorn basically used Jun as a sexual plaything., at least thats how the series presented Sorn. What do you think?
I rewatched this series again to see if my feelings about it have changed, and I'm glad to say they have not. When I originally watched this series, I too, had the conflicting moral delimma of the right and/or wrong of euthenasia. In many cultures, it is still practiced today. My personal opinion on euthenasia is that I don't agree with it, even if I can empathized its use in patients who are chronically ill, in constant pain and suffering, etc. However, I think a line in the sand can be drawn between allowing someone to "self-euthenize" and "assisted euthenasia" (helping them to end their life or ending it for them). If someone wants to end their life and chooses to do so, that's between and their belief system. The moment someone else becomes involved, that's an entirely different matter.
This series was both great and disturbing at the same time. It took the BL genre to another level, similarly like KinnPorsche. I'm actually glad this type of BL was done -- it made us think, instead of just wishing for the mains.
I stated all of this to state that the scene in which Tew/Thiu arrested Dr. Kan was correct. Even if Dr. Kan passionately believed that what he did was the "right" thing and the law was "wrong," he did break the current laws and needed to be held accountable.
Oh, so Thun was drugged with a diuretic and justβ¦ fainted? No frantic bathroom runs, no pre-fight fidgeting,…
I agree. I was liking this series at the first few eps. Now it's getting too melodramatic with all that keeps happening. Yes, it's fictitious. But at least make it make some kind of sense. LOL! These must be either the most inept boxers and boxing organizers in the industry or the laziest screenwriters, Take you pick. LMFAO!
"Jun was nothing more than a good piece of a*s for Sorn to hit whenever he wanted to and cock-blocking anyone…
Actually, I don't Sorn's intentions are "bad." Just "doggish!" LMFAO! He may actually like Jun in a romantic way. But, I can't help but hink that he was in "lust" before he was in "love." And sometimes it's difficult for men to know the difference (which is not the same for women). I've made it this far as well. I, too, will stay till the end, even though it may just be a "messy" ride. Also, although it's inevitable that they're going to end up back together, I hope that don't have anymore sexcapades before they formally become a couple. LOL!
