EXACTLY! The way this series is presenting it, Sorn only wants Jun as a sex object. He's not only manipulated Jun into sex, but he has also only worried about satisfying his own sexual needs and seems to care less about Jun (until someone else wants Jun, too).

OK. I'll be the one to say it. I get it that it's NuNew and Zee. I get it that this is a fantasy series, with no real since of anytype of reality. I also get it that that this is just a tv series. But, please! Could they have made the plot any more chessy? The first few eps. were ok, with a little action, a little intrigue mixed with the fantasy stuff. But now it seems to be getting a little silly. First of all having Prince Khanin prance around Charan like some love-sick puppy. Then, having Ramil and Paytai engage in some "soft" bdsm role play! I get it that this is the type of stuff used to spice up the BLs nowadays. LMFAO! At least make it make some sense. That's all I'm saying. LOL!

Agree. Many men and boys are sexually assaulted around the world in many cultures, especially in southeast Asia. Many boys are volunteered or sold into prostitution and slavery. Jorn behaved like a sadistic sexual predator. With the smirk he had on his face during the meeting with the gang seems to indicate him being a person with NO conscience, a psychopath. If the writers took that and built into a story plot, IMO, it might make for an interesting Season 2. It would not only realistic and gritty. It would be pretty damn interesting.

Exactly! Yes, I've seen Hannibal and had the same thoughts. I suppose you're referencing the tv series Interview with a Vampire. I luv'd it!!! Season 2 was ok. Although I wanted Lestat to appear in the series earlier than he did. I can't wait for season 3.

Chain using his rape to benefit getting with Nu is sick enough. But he was the victim of a vicious kidnapping, assault and rape. I'm surprised he's not more traumatized or at least pissed off and wanting revenge on Jorn. Just about all the guys in this BL are just a bunch of P.O.S.'s, including Sun, who's trying to cover it up (at least the parts he knows).

ABSOLUTELY AGREE! And myself and many others had strong opinions about whether it was Stockholm syndrome (in KinnPorsche). I recall receiving many negative comments, but I stood my ground. I can't recall if it was is the novel as Stockholm. But the series certainly portrayed it that way.

I'm actually liking this series with Krist and Singto. It's great to see how they've progressed from the uni series to a full fledged adult BL (or I guess ML "mens love" LOL) with adult issues.

The issue of "romanticized" sex vs sexual assault yet again rears its ugly head. Granted, many cultures view r*pe differently (and that is certainly unfortunate, especially for the victims). But it is hoped that all of the posters here on MDL recognize that "whenever" someone is unable, unwilling, or incapable of giving "appropriate" consent, ANY sexual contact going forward is non-consensual and therefore "rape." Now, I guess one could debate what is meant by "unable, unwilling, incapable or even appropriate." Regardless of the wording, regardless of the terminology, and even regardless of the various cultural meanings, most will agree that it is r*pe and that should be NOTHING romantic about being r*ped, even in a tv series.

Actually, Pete tried to play along so that Vegas would get tired of him and finally end his life, but Vegas liked him even more and didn't wanna let him go. There was much discussion as to whether this was "actually" rape, and YES it was, even though it wasn't "forcible" from a physical standpoint. But it certainly was from an emotional/psychological standpoint. It is similar to allowing yourself to be raped instead of something else happening to you. Many disagreed though
