Title Once Again
Beautiful OST and excellent acting - so raw, so heartfelt, so believable in their pain and sorrow.. However, as…
Yes, I totally agree. Jae Woo's sad eyes and tender devotion to the uncle who saved him but gave his own life in the process is heart wrenching. I so wish they could have devised an ending which stopped the killer/kidnapper and broke the cycle of revisiting all that pain of loss.

And I forgot to mention one more important avenue of Aek's and Aue's communication in this episode; that wonderful, long, healing hug.

Once again. Solipsism5, you have beautifully expressed what I was thinking while watching this episode. There is no need for Aek and Aue to explain or apologize for their earlier behavior. They communicate through food metaphors, facial expressions, and, of course, their trademark eye contact. Rahab75, you have interpreted the meaning behind their their spoken and unspoken language so effectively. I'd be fascinated to know what David Bigander would think about both of your analyses were he to read this forum. My sense is he would be thrilled that there are people who understand and appreciate his subtle and sensitive screenplay. I am so sorry this series is ending; I will miss it!

Yes, yes, and yes. Beautiful analysis. Hope you saw my response to your earlier comment yesterday. Keep hope alive.

Now that I watched the preview for next episode again I see I was mistaken; it's Aue coming to see Aek. Still hoping for the best.

Aue has been so careful up to now. I think after the discussion with his co-workers he throws caution to the winds and impulsively shows Aek his true feelings, unaware that Aek is petrified. He even offers to take Aek home when he sees Aek is acting strangely. Aek does have feelings for Aue; he is just terrified to admit it. This episode tore me apart. I think, or at least hope, that Aek realizes how badly he hurt Aue. There is some sign of this with the tears running down his cheek at the end. I also was puzzled by the appearance of the evil girl chef at the hospital and the behavior of the good-looking competitor who Aek evidently called to rescue him after he fell in the rain. I wish Aue would have found him but instead he runs by him without seeing him. I agree that Aek's out of character behavior is born of fear. The preview of the next episode shows Aek at Aue's door. I'm hoping for the best.

Thanks for your supportive comment, BraveAppointment1. So looking forward to tomorrow's episode. This series reflects how strong, lasting relationships are built in real life;
not rushed, but with care and patience. You need time to truly get to know someone. I am totally enjoying the pacing and every aspect of this artfully created drama. I am tasting and savoring each succulent morsal and anticipating the next course of this carefully, lovingly prepared banquet.

Ditto to all your thoughts. I also look forward to watching each episode as soon as I can on Sundays. I watched the latest one twice. The way Aek spoke about the painting in the temple where the two characters (can't remember their names) are whispering their love for each other; the way he thanks Aue for believing in him, saying how happy he is and that he cares for "someone;" the way Aue carefully covers the sleeping Aek with a blanket and settles in next to him. They are just not quite ready to profess their love for each other. I can't wait until next Sunday. At the risk of being too forward, is there a way we can communicate more directly other than this forum? You sent me a friend request (thank you) on this forum but not sure how that promotes more direct communication. My email is [email protected] should you want to send me a message. Not a big Facebook user but have an account. It's just really nice to share thoughts with someone I sense is a kindred spirit.

I tried to respond to your post but couldn't get my response to appear in the right place under yours. Anyway hope you can read it. I think I can understand Aue's reticence to express his true feelings for Aek. He always stops short of saying what is really on his mind or in his heart and showing affection. I hope he is able to follow his brother's advice and "go for it." Aek clearly has affection for Aue as well, but is patiently waiting for the right moment. It's almost as if he knows Aue is afraid to let his feelings out and is waiting for his permission. They both came so close to saying it in this episode. I can empathize with Aue as I have felt the same way. I just love the gentleness and care that pervades this series. Solipsism5, I agree with much of what you say and admire the skill with which you say it. While of course it is nice to know like-minded people with whom we can share our appreciation of things, everyone is different and entitled to their opinion. I really like this series and feel no need to apologize for feeling this way. Those who strongly disagree should also do so unapologetically and respectfully. I pray we can get to a world where we no longer vilify those who view things differently than we do. Rather I would hope we could revel in our diversity and learn what we can from one another. After watching episode 7 this evening, I had a delicious dinner of oriental chicken & rice and matzo ball soup with tender chicken, carrots, and celery. It gave me a warm feeling inside, just as this wonderfully crafted series does. The next best thing to being there.

I don't know alot about Thailand and its history but I'm learning through the series and your perceptive comments. Amazing attention to detail. I absolutely agree with both of you. I love the tranquillity, the gentle touch of this series. Whether or not the two lead actors are gay in real life, they are portraying Aue znd Aek beautifully. I wish I had these guys in my real life. At least this series enables me to dream about the possibility.

I agree with everything you said, BraveAppointment1. I was so moved by the sensitivity of the leading actors that I sent Zung Kidakarn who plays Chef Aue a message on Instagram thanking him for his work and the depth of emotion he conveys. I didn't get a response, but I hope he knows English well enough to receive my support. I look forward to each Sunday to be drawn deeper into the developing relationship as well as the seductive blending of food and feeling.
Beautifully done in every way.
