are there any love triangles or something similar? this movie looks very nice, so i really want to watch!
so it's not like anyone tries to get between them at one point? i did saw on tiktok that the girl thought the boy likes another girl, but actually he likes her.
while rewatching this series i realized how silent it is. at some points it felt weird to only hear them talk without any music in the background and stuff, but i have started to love it because it makes everything feel so normal and casual. it's not like we have music in the background in real life lol(sometimes i wish we did tho)
i like that the decisions that are made by the characters are normal too. for example, when Juntaek saw Jisub sitting and looking down, he didn't go up to him to talk and stuff. when in other dramas he would have definitely talked to him. idk maybe i just love it because i can relate to it as i would be too shy to talk to him.
Very wholesome but why freshmen are treated like kids in Asian dramas? I enjoyed the serie though, it was good,…
i guess it's just because they have only recently graduated from high school and are new to university. it's like when you have younger friends and you feel like you have to take care of themðŸ˜
watched this for the first time in 2022( i think) and have rewatched it mutiple times by now because i just can't seem to let it go. i have started reading the novel and i really hope everyone reads it! i think the story is easier to understand because obviously everything is not censored and is how it should be(everything is gay lol) no, but really the novel is very good!
why exactly do you think their age is problematic?
i'm sorry that you feel offended by what i said, but i will still stand by what i said. you would not have said the same things if it was a girl and a boy. you know why? because topics like that would never be discussed between them and the scene that you are talking about might have never even happened. which is what makes it so different. but if you say you would then i'm gonna believe that and just hope you have said and thought the same thing about all tthe straight couples being portrayed by child actors.
the fact that it's two boys did have an impact on your criticism as it's what leads to the discussion of how you don't like that they are children actors portraying children who explore their sexuality and confront it. if they weren't two boys or two girls, there would be no discussion. as they wouldn't be confronted with the topic of sexuality.
i'm gonna assume that unless they don't say things that encourage that idea. have never really gotten an reason why it is so problematic either, that young actors get confronted with topics like these. does it impact them badly or something...
i wish to not continue this conversation whatsoever. i understand you are uncomfortable with seeing stuff like that in movies etc!
why exactly do you think their age is problematic?
oh, didn't think about the filming time, so that's my fault. still doesn't change anything what i said previously. i do not need to understand you, i'm just trying to understand why is there always problem with lgbtq+ stuff and not straight one! i will just give up now though. thanks for your time.
why exactly do you think their age is problematic?
Hiiragi is 12 and Kurokawa is 14, that's middle school or am i wrong? And i still can't see the problem with them being confronted with problems that they might experience and see, find out about more in the future. this acting role might even help them understand things better and look at topics about discrimination against lgbtq+ community in a bad way. children their age wonder about their sexuality too! sometimes they even know they like the opposite gender, so why is it such a problem in your eyes?
they are children, but that doesn't mean they don't understand anything and i'm sure if this had impacted them in any bad way there would be action taken. should we never let children act? and act as if they don't go through problems like these? i'm really trying to understand what is the problem, i'm sorry.
so, I watched the movie, read a lot of twitter discussions/interpretations afterwards and then rewatched the movie…
i will try my best to make sense of it because i saw a post on twt about this exact scene, but can't find it now! so i will try to explain from my memory and how i think of it.
i think this scene has something to do with the assignment they were asked to do where they write about ''my future''. Minato probably had written his and Yori's names on it, but when he dropped his eraser he didn't know if he should erase their names or no. and when his mom came back he made the decision to do it as we saw him aggressively erase it. he might have made the decision because he didn't want his mom to see it.
the twt post said something about how when they were in the train Minato felt safe writing his and Yori's name because he was with Yori and he didn't have to lie.
i hope you understand what i'm trying to say lol!! if i find the post i will surely reply with it to you!
saw so many things about this on tiktok and twitter. got spoiled, but at the same time saw many posts about the symbolism. i would advice people who didn't understand it, to look it up because it actually helps a lot even if you understood it because there might be things you have missed!
besides that, i love this movie. my heart felt heavy while watching and i cried like 80% of it because i just felt so bad for everyone... not Yuri's dad though. the actors are so young, but did such a great job. i really hope to see them act together in the future! the actress who played as Minato's mother conveyed the emotions perfectly and made my heart hurt so many times. i'm so happy about the fact that it has an open ending lol
i saw people having a problem with the two boys liking each other and it made me feel upset? because clearly the problem is not that they like each other, but the fact that they are TWO BOYS who like each other and it annoys me because if it was a boy and a girl it wouldn't be a problem. hope people stop thinking that way soon.
