I wish we saw more of their life after, like with their kids...
I was obsessed with their life in the village. I have 0 experience with the novel, so this could anger the novel's fans, but I would've loved to see how they settled back to their utopia in the village, even if it meant detouring from events in the book. The ending could've reminded us of the warmth and bliss that was first quarter of the show. If Xie Zheng's character stated that the village was the happiest time in his life, then a righteous conclusion would be returning and thriving there with his family. I wanted to finish the show with a glowing comfort. Ah well...

Title Spring Fever
In my recent drama experiences I found the side characters and small characters unlikeable, but here it’s totally…
I love him too! And his grandma! I don't think the writers expected the characters to shine as much as they do. I laugh with that kid all the time!

Look, I love the leads. Both ML & FL are so refleshingly entertaining and worth the story. Big pats on their backs. But the smaller characters are what give this show energy and light. Favorites are The Twins and Phillip. If we ever start a fandom withT-shirts, mine's gonna say Team Phillip.
