The journey

Prisoner of beauty was not hyper-addictive, or hyper-active, or any other kind of hyper. It was not an excessive sensory stimulation or thrilling or even enigmatically epic. Yet, amidst all that it was not, for it was not meant to be, it was a journey that was perfect.

The storyline had a familiar tune amidst the cliché-ridden prosaism, but it delivered buckets of love, hope, battles to uphold peace and prosperity in the Central Plains, leaving viewers content. It showed that one dream for the benefit of all, can indeed change the world for the better and when that dream is a goal involving caring for the welfare of the people and bringing peace to the land, the universe conspires into ensuring that good does overcomes evil.

In the words of Wei Shao “the Yongning Canal brought huge benefits. The waterways are connected, benefiting all sides. The world is thus freed from strife and hatred. The people are at peace. I’ve finally had my lifelong wish come true”.

“Thanks to the companions on this journey. Everyone in the years to come, may all your wishes come true”. Qiao Man & Wei Shao in unison.
