Super faced paced show, wasn't bored for a single episode. It took me about 10 episodes to really warm up to the characters, that was the only weak point for me. The twists were pretty surprising for the most part. Absolutely hated the end though. Urgh. Otherwise great show.
I cannot believe it is ending. I started this on a whim, without much expectations, but even with only 2 episodes, I became addicted. Both MLs are wonderful complex characters, and this show does not shy away from darker themes without downplaying them. I'm not even into dark romance but this drama is so so good. This might be my favorite drama of 2025, not just BL. There wasn't a single bad episode in my opinion, the ending was perfect and I am so happy we will get an extra episode. Looking forward to other dramas from the actors! Now I can finally read the novel without getting spoiled :D

The redemption arc has been hyped up so much by novel readers, so my hopes are sky high. Hopefully it will deliver. Thankfully the show has not let me down yet. I look forward to be surprised by Fan Xiao. I have such a soft spot for him, even though hes a little demon :D
I was screaming into my pillow after this episode. Every time I get my hopes up and think Fan Xiao finally gets it and stops his manipulative schemes.... it's so frustrating. I love the way this show still surprises me and it makes it so entertaining to watch, but I needed a proper Redemption Arc... like 2 episodes ago. They are running out of time! Loved the confession scene (again with a frustrating end on Fan Xiaos part). I really have to wonder if he is capable of loving You Shu Lang selflessly. Because I'm not sure he can. There has to be one hell of a redemption arc to get a good happy ending at this point.
I truly underestimated Fan Xiao's evilness. I'm afraid Shu Lang could flee to the end of the world and he would still find him. The fact he didn't just jump right then and there.... He's such a strong character. Great Episode. Hopefully Shu Langs revenge will start soon, I bet he regrets not using the baseball bat. :D

These past couple of months a lot of accounts have started spreading these conspiracy rumours as "facts" when in fact there has been no evidence whatsoever about any of these claims. They only want to spread their hate agenda. It makes me mad evertime I see this link. These people are no better than the antis of 227! Please let the courts handle this matter and stop believing everything you see on the internet.
Yes the police is useless and makes stupid mistakes...but this is the case more times than not in k dramas. If you are willing to overlook this, you get a beautifully shot, (one of THE best cinematography in kdramas that I've seen) and really well acted kdrama with surprisingly three dimensional characters and a great villain. This show is not about catching a killer, its about the ability to change fate and if it is even possible in the first place. I'm so done with people bashing thriller/crime shows because of lack of common sense of some characters but those people are willing to overlook the most stupidest cheesiest plot in rom- coms. Yes the show isn't perfect but its definitely watchable and I would definitely recommend it if the premise sounds interesting to you. Honestly, the 15 episode explained a lot of the illogical things so theres that.
I love that it seems like an OCN show but kdrama police is useless as usual. Still my fav currently airing show atm. Also really glad there won't be a love triangle lol.
This show was so much fun! Perfect mix of Comedy and Thriller, I've never seen anything like it. If only they had explored the psycho bromance a little bit more it would have been perfect.
I'm speechless, I couldn't have thought of a more fitting ending even though I cried buckets. I got what I wished for and what I expected did happen, so I was prepared at least. Anyway, this is now a favorite drama of mine and one of the best Bromance/Friendship storys ever.

I try to answer as best as possible since its been some time since I watched the movie (so sorry if I've got something wrong). I think its always tricky to assume why a writer chose a specific topic, especially since in this movie (which is very ambiguous) the viewers interpretation is always subjective. Sure, its entirely possible the writer did choose homosexuality because it is shocking in Korea to be gay, even more if you deceive yourself like in method acting. For example, the shocking part for me personally wasn't the relationship at all, but the attempted suicide by the Idol actor. He even went so far as to try to end his own life because of method acting. This was (for me) the most shocking result of method acting in the movie. I think the reason their homosexuality was perceived so badly by his wife and especially the manager and the media was because Idos don't date, especially no older same-sex partners. And this is Korea so its basically unthinkable. The younger character was some kind of sociopath that was obsessed with the older guy. That was the reason he was violent and dangerous. Not because of his sexuality. Who would think that the guy from YOU was dangerous and violent because of the fact that he was heterosexual? He was simply a sociopath just like the character in the play. I'm not saying you're wrong at all. Maybe your right. Maybe it won't matter what the intention of the writer was because people will perceive it the same way as you. My view is certainly influenced by the fact that I've grown up in a society in which people mostly don't care if you're gay. I'm just saying you can never be sure and its important to allow the writer to portray such a scenario because it is artistic freedom after all.
Also, if they tried to portray the kissing scene as disgusting and wrong then they failed completely. They had amazing chemistry.
This can't be the ending. It felt incomplete as if they stopped in the middle of the story. There better be a S2 (not a fan of of this new trend) but they can't just leave it at that. Even if you have more seasons planned, at least wrap it up in some way this is stupid. Its a shame because Vagabond was such a great show.
