Title Love Next Door Spoiler
Except for the dad, the rest of her family have been horrible to her since she came back. Her mom’s mood swing is giving me whiplash. Is it any surprise she kept her illness from them? For the mom, the brother can do no wrong, whereas with her, she MUST do no wrong. Nobody can stay healthy, mentally and physically, trying to live up to those ridiculous standards. Every time I think the mom is changing for the better, she crawls back into her crazy, meddling bubble. When the secret is revealed, my hope is that this family finally begins to heal.

It’s understandable too that she kept it from her friends. If they knew, they would’ve dropped everything, put their lives on hold to come to her and that would devastate her. He may think that she doesn’t value their friendship enough to tell him, but it’s because she values it too much to burden him and make his heart ache.

Now I don’t know why she didn’t just punch the ex, called him out on his cheating bs and be done with it. But I don’t think she’s letting him linger because she feels indebted to him financially. Whatever savings she had may have gone into paying her medical bills and that’s why she gets upset with her brother for mooching off the parents.

The weekend can’t come soon enough. Hopefully the ex makes his exit in ep 9, ep 10 is about clearing up misunderstandings and in ep. 11 we get to the long awaited courtship of these two.

She does not have cancer. She had cancer and it was removed. She could, possibly, have a relapse but at this point…
Agree. The stress from her family and the ex showing up unexpectedly may be what caused her to collapse. In the preview, we can see she was discharged from the hospital that evening , so it may not have been too serious. I hope her mom realizes the harm she’s causing her daughter soon and stop meddling. As for the ex, I look forward to when we don’t have to see his smug, arrogant face again.

Ep. 8 sucked. There’s no other way to describe it, but I’m not ready to hit the panic button nor will I abandon it. We’re halfway through and I expected some drama but by the end of next week, all the exes will be gone.

These two share a special bond and once they work past the awkwardness of taking their friendship to the next level, it’ll be romantic and fun and I’ll be here for it all.

Title Love Next Door Spoiler
The only good thing about the avoidance thing they have going on is that we finally get to see how much she misses and thinks about him when he isn’t around. This is definitely not one-sided. She’ll be jealous next week, especially when she sees the ML and ex-gf dining at a hotel, even if it’s for business.

I’m glad the ex-bf showed up when he did. Now is not the time to confess. The FL needs to resolve whatever lingering feelings she may have and get closure first. When the ML sees that chapter of her life closing, he can confidently confess without worrying about what may be with the ex.

I think something happened with the mom when the ML spent his break in France. I’d like to believe his mom didn’t have an affair, but the cozy way her senior acts toward her may have led him to believe something was up. She didn’t seem comfortable when he touched her shoulder at his office.

Today’s episode was good. Any episode with flashbacks of the child actors will always be good.

Title Love Next Door Spoiler
The only highlight in Ep 5 was the little girl defending her dad. The rest was pretty boring. I’m glad the ex-gf storyline was drama-free. She made the FL jealous and helped her realize her dream. I don’t think the dad is cheating. He seems lonely to me and his wife is too busy with her friend group to see it. I hope we get to learn about the FL’s feelings toward the ML soon. I don’t think the childhood crush is one-sided. Let’s hope they get together soon or at least start building on their budding romance before the ex-bf inevitably shows up. Five episodes of pining, unrequited love is enough.

I agree with most of your points. However I am not sure about her ability to defend herself. It was clearly explained…
It’s difficult, but not impossible. They are playing 3D chess and time is of the essence. I can’t imagine them not having back up plans to make sure once and for all that no one gets away without paying a hefty price, whether it’s death or jail time.

Plus, didn’t Mr. Lee have someone tail Min-hwan? They would’ve known he didn’t leave work.
On Marry My Husband Feb 14, 2024
Mr. Lee continues to shine. Mr. Kim was useful for once. Telling Su-min to her face that Ji-won has gotten prettier was *chef’s kiss*. I’m thoroughly enjoying how the revenge is slowly playing out. Yu-ra is an annoyance, but I’m glad they didn’t drag out the break-up. Something tells me the stalker incident at the end was a set-up. Knowing his anger issues, she was provoking him hard. With her judo training, we know she could’ve taken him down easily.

Next week will be bittersweet. This fun drama is ending, but I’m also eager to see all the baddies get what they deserve.

Mr. Lee was the highlight in this episode. He’s becoming someone Ji hyuk can trust and depend on. Also, his anger and outburst at Ms. Yang”s situation was awesome. “Go slap your husband if he cheated. Kick him, claw his eyes out, crack his skull. …Want to borrow my golf club?” lol

Title Marry My Husband Spoiler
I guess what her dad said about finding someone who would die for her was literal. Instead of introducing Yu-ra, I wish they developed the Mrs. Yang/Mr. Lee and sis/chef storylines better with the few remaining episodes. Introducing the clingy ex so late in the drama just makes it seem like it was done for angst, nothing more. I mean we already have one crazy, psychotic female to deal with, why add another?

Ji-won has trust issues, but hasn’t Ji-hyuk done more than enough to prove he earns her trust and more? Whatever crazy entitlement BS Yu-ra was feeding her, she should know better than to apologize and give her the satisfaction of knowing they broke up because of her. Their relationship is none of her business. Ji-won has grown and developed so much that at the very least, she should’ve listened to what he had to say or at least let his sister explain. He wasn’t married in the future and decided to accelerate the inevitable. No harm, no foul.

I don’t think the grandpa is on Yu-ra’s side as much as we’re led to believe. I think he likes the new Ji-hyuk and the fact that Mr. Lee also approves of the change means he won’t be too swayed by the ex. However long they decide to keep her around, I hope it’s to make Min-hwan more miserable. Speaking of which, I’m thoroughly enjoying the torment that Soo-min is getting from the mother-in-law from hell.

Looking forward to the introduction of Ji-hyuk’s stepmom. If she has a hand in getting rid of Yu-ra and Ji-won’s mom, then I say bring her in next week!

Title Marry My Husband Spoiler
I may be in the minority, but there’s no chemistry between Ji-won and Eun Ho. He comes off more like an over-eager younger brother than a love interest. He’s more suited for the sister and since they’re going to meet in the next episode, that should be fun to watch.

I’m enjoying the pace of this drama. The misunderstanding wasn’t needlessly drawn out and the reveal was nicely done. Now these two can put their minds together and plot the sweetest revenge the bf and friend so richly deserve. Kudos to the actors portraying them. They’ve managed to make me care so little for the characters that I actually fast forward their scenes together.

Next week should be fun. Ji Hyuk will probably save Ji Won from drowning. Will she get to see the blue heart on his neck?

I hope the grandfather doesn’t become a problem, but what Ji Hyuk said about something that wasn’t a problem before may be one now seems kind of foreboding.

Never have I wished for the weekend to come and go fast, but here we are.

Read the webtoon about halfway through and now I wished I hadn’t. I like the drama version better. It’s faster paced and I would've relished the revenge scenes better if I didn’t know what was coming.

The preview confirmed my suspicions that Ji Hyuk is also from the future, but he doesn’t know that Ji Won is too. He seems to be working to correct the wrongs done to Ji Won, so her life doesn’t end tragically. Since Ji Won rejected him (so she can put her plans for the bf and friend into motion), he probably reached out to her first love to break up Ji Won and her bf.

Right now, they’re opposing forces working towards the same goal. Can wait for them to find out each other’s intention. After that, it’s game on. lol

His sister is the perfect friend for Ji Won and I think she’ll help her brother convince their grandfather .

The brother is full of rage but he should know better. This is not how he will find the truth. I have hope he…
Agree. He’s too blinded by rage to think logically even with all the time that’s passed. I hope things get better too, but have a feeling he’ll spiral deeper before that happens.

Pretty unfortunate that Doha had to encounter not one but two overly obsessive people who can’t take no for an answer. How he manages to stay sane and not lose it is beyond me. For me, though, Syaon’s actions are far more sinister and unforgivable. Knowingly using his past trauma to get him to be with her is evil. I suspect the CEO is hiding something too. Both mothers are opportunists and the leads will do well to keep as far away from them as possible.

Lastly, I’m struggling to hate the brother at this point in the drama. He wants justice for his sister and I can understand him holding onto the grudge with Doha. Of course, all that could change next week if he does something supremely stupid and dangerous.

I think the bed scene in the preview was a dream.

Not sure what to make of the ex-bf and singer, but they come off as selfish and seem to only care about what they want.

The flashback seems to hint that their relationship became toxic at the end. Do Ha’s comment about not wanting to stay with someone who couldn’t be without him was telling. I don’t think she’s dead either.

Upon re-watching the kiss X number of times, this is by far the hottest kdrama kiss to date. It was hard to appreciate at first with the close-ups and weird positioning of the camera. Hope we get more of these in future episodes. It’d be a shame not to take advantage of their insane chemistry.

I didn’t like Junho’s character in Wok of Love, but he definitely steals the show in this one. Just adorable.

Title King the Land Spoiler
Been watching this in parallel with See You In My 19th Life and eight episodes in, I prefer this one. Both dramas are good and I guess it depends on the mood, but right now, a lighthearted romcom is exactly what I’m looking for. Does it have all the typical cliches that have been done to death? Yes and I’m fine with that simply for its entertainment factor. Folks looking for a deeper meaning may find flaws, of which there are many, but I won’t spend time on that in my first review. Now, let’s break down each character and the latest storyline.

Sa Rang - I like her a lot. She works hard and is doing what she loves. The fact that she supplements her education with specific skill sets to make her even more valuable in the hospitality industry is pretty savvy and smart.

Gu Won - Love him. He tries to be cold and aloof, but is actually quite the charming goofball. He’s obviously a novice when it comes to love. His naivety in how he deals with his feelings and jealousy over her is cute and fun to experience along with him.

Mr. No - Loved him from the first moment he appeared on screen. He’s the best side-kick for Gu Won.

Pyung Hwa - I hope we get to see more of her with the male flight attendant. Wonder what her past is all about?

Da Eul - She needs to ditch the husband, her in-laws and take her baby shark daughter away to start a new life.

Grandma - Love her nonchalance, yet protective streak over Sa Rang.

Sister - There’s no redeeming qualities with this one. I get that she’s a woman trying to make her mark in a male dominated industry, but her sense of entitlement just leaves a bad taste. I don’t empathize with her at all.

Father - I’m not sure yet if he’s bad. He certainly doesn’t win any father of the year award, but it’s too soon to tell where he stands with his kids.

The prince thing was a bit absurd, tbh. But in order to advance the storyline, it was necessary. The fact that Gu Won was able to bring in a high value client that his sister wasn’t able to sets the stage for the fight over who will take over the family business. Having to cater to the whims of a spoiled guest will give him an appreciation for the working class which is something his sister sorely lacks, despite her claims of being more knowledgeable than him.

The kiss was a nice end to this episode and a long time coming. It was romantic and steamy, but not the steamiest I’ve seen in a kdrama. :-)

Lastly, the OST is great, especially the latest release.

Title The Interest of Love Spoiler
Finally I’m able to comment. I’ve been having issues with my account since Wednesday. We knew that this was…
It’s subtle, but you can tell by her actions which people she wanted to keep in touch with. When she saw Jong-Hyeon, a look of acknowledgement that he finally succeeded was enough, then she walked away. She gave Mi-Gyeong her business card, obviously wanting to build on their friendship. With Sang-Su, she asked if he wanted coffee when he stood up to leave, and as their business transaction neared its end, she seemed sad. For the first time, she’s engaging him in conversation and not shying away by giving bland, ambiguous answers.

I’ve taken time to do some reflecting after watching the finale yesterday. I feel overwhelmed with mixed emotions…
This list is quite impressive. I recommend “When the weather is fine” or sometimes known as “I’ll go to you when the weather is nice”. Same actress as Her Private Life. It’s slow paced like this one, but not angsty.
