I second the 'maids' recommendation! also, Empress Ki still remains my favorite of all time Sageuk so its against my religion not to recommend it. also, thank you ajummas for answering my question! The dining etiquette thing makes a lot of sense now. I eat like a total pig and have terrible table manners so if I'm ever going to eat in Korea, I'll definitely look up some common table etiquette.

maybe I didn't really choose a main male lead side because while I enjoyed some of the romantic scenes, I was more into the whole revenge plot line and mainly just cheered on Ha Ji Won as she crushed those arrogant A holes under her boot. I can definitely see how some people would be disappointed in Empress Ki as far as romantic interests go. If I did have to choose though, I say Tal Tal should have been her romantic interest.

I think so too. maybe its because he feels so much guilt towards his son that he thinks he doesn't have a right to parent him. for whatever reason he's a sorry excuse for a human being, I think ajumma needs to slap him around a few times to knock some humanity into him

I know we are supposed to feel sympathetic for Jinwoo's son and all but that kid is twisted. I keep expecting him to grow a few humane qualities as the drama progresses but with every episode he just gets easier to hate. Does this kid have any shame? I really wouldn't blame the dad for hating him either. in fact, I find it unbelievable that the dad is still letting that brat call himself his son (well....sort of anyway)

yeah, she did seem to switch sides really fast. I kind of understand though since she had given 9th lord several chances and he kept pushing her away so it was either move on with life or suffer alone.

really? I was so happy when she ended up with him. I wasn't a big fan of the 9th lord because all he really seemed to do was mope around and hurt her by being the noble idiot. I was really sad that he ended up all alone in the end though. They should have made a happier ending for him because he at least deserved that much

kudos for being the first gender bender where the female lead actually pulled off being a guy and the whole town didn't realize she was a girl by episode 3. That ending was still a piece of shit though

so who does she end up with in the end? I'm finding it hard to figure out who is the main male lead and who is the second male lead.

well that was....a lot darker then I was expecting it to be. right in the feels drama right in the feels.
