i live in a tropical country, yet somehow it feels like i’m experiencing all four seasons

(you probably will find it hard to watch on first episode, but PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE stay there and keep watching!!!🥺) you know those dramas that aren’t 100% perfect, but you feel so deeply attached and connected to them even to every single character ????

this drama. it feels like you’re actually friends with them, like you’re there with them, going through everything together.… not everything is perfect, but the character development is incredible. this is a drama where i got annoyed at a character BUT only for a moment then they immediately got a redemption arc, and it was so well done. they’re insanely good at steering the audience’s emotions just like that !!

the cast is just perfect. the casting director did such an amazing job for real. the acting !!! even the grandma and grandpa cast still amaze me the fact they’ve actually been acting together since 40 years ago... also shoutout to the director !! the cinematography, the details ohhh i love how i didn’t skip a SINGLE scene. and 12 episodes felt like the blink of an eye. I NEED MORE !!

lee sungkyung is just sooo perfect for song haran character the way i can't imagine it's anyone else. w waited 2 years for the one who play seonu chan and chae jeonghyeop absolutely nailed it!!! i hope they will play tgt again because the chemistry is insane.

in conclusion, it's the drama of the year for me. in your radiant season, you are so dear to me.

everything's just perfect

damn. this drama damnnnnn. the pain lasted 16 episodes but the happiness was like… 2 minutes. but even the ending is just perfect (but I NEED MORE)

I actually hate it when plots have tiny misunderstandings and get blurry eventho the main problem isn’t resolved yet, then I end up hating the characters because they act foolish. what I love about this drama is that all the characters are understandable (except for the cheaters may they rot in hell). shim woojo is really one of a kind. and ofc lee sungkyung the actor that you are!!!!!

also, the camera work is INSANE, I even checked out the director’s profile to see their other works, and turns out they also directed Idol I (which im not a fan of)

honestly, the filters were kinda dizzying but at the same time gave me that tight-chest feeling because the vibe hit SO HARD. there were even silent scenes that made my chest hurt as hell. I would give it 100/10, if i could, but damn the pain is SO REAL that I don’t even wanna rewatch it… writing, directing, ACTING. totally insane.

women women women

kim goeun and nam jihyun in a women-centric drama honestly one of the best things to ever happen. we love a women centric but why did they also make women the real villains too 😭

it actually took me a few days to finish because i was worried i might end up disappointed but thankfully i wasn’t. i did feel a bit frustrated though, not all the evil characters got the karma they deserved. the real villain definitely deserved more than what she got. and oh siblings' parents “happy ending” just didn’t sit right with me.

one thing i have to say, this drama is an absolute acting feast. i could easily give it a 100/10 for performances alone likeeee everyone delivered and even the young actors did such an amazing job.

"i watch it for the plot" the plot: lee sungkyung

i guess an 8/10 is fair enough because i didn’t expect much. i only saw two familiar faces which are my faves (lee sungkyung and jin hoeun) but the other actors seemed really lovely too. there’s almost no one who annoyed me. well, i’m actually not a fan of the male lead and personally think his acting is a bit off, but it’s still bearable because of the other characters and the story.

it took me a few days to finish it, and i almost dropped it at episode 5. surprisingly i got hooked in the second half of the drama. one thing that bothered me was the filter, it almost hurt my eyes lol. the ost was nice though. in conclusion, it’s unexpectedly good and a worthwhile 16-episode drama to watch.

It's kinda hard to watch

First of all, I think I almost never meet autistic person irl but I always respect them. and since I never meet them irl myself, I'm actually wondering if the tone (how youngwoo's speak is necessary). Shoutout to park eunbin's extraordinary acting tho! I feel like i can't comment much about the realistic of 'autistic' story.

The storylines are interesting, but the cases on the late episodes (maybe after ep 6) weren't interesting anymore, I remember skipped many scenes. The loveline is enough, sweet enough, not too much. I actually expected more since this drama is on the best kdrama all time but for me it's just it, not that special excep the premise.

i'm not into medical drama but i'm hooked

the storylines are light, the characters are so special dan relatable. not too much drama, no hospital political, and so annoying older. I actually wanted dr.myeon get more big deal, not only failed becoming professor cause i'm so ragebaited. some scenes are warmth esp on the last ep.

lovelines are cute despite people's complaint about the cast, me personally think the actor who plays gu dowon is okay (well go younjoung is TOO UNREAL tho).

I might not rewatch it but it still has rewatch value, kinda miss OBGYz tho, their friendship is cutest ㅠㅠ I'm also becoming um jay's stan lmao

watch this only for the main casts

lazy ah writing fr only the cast and the acting saved the show. idk why they made a children book such a big deal lmaoooo make no sense. the female character is kinda annoying, and most of the characters (esp the sensei) are so annoyingly nosy. glad the second male lead did not make the storyline worse. chae jonghyeop acting so good and amazing because the chemistry is good.

Personally, I watched for Hong Mingi but he's so DJJSJDJSSWTF

I honestly couldn’t find any major flaws in this drama but it did feel a bit cliche at times so I couldn’t give it a perfect rating. Still, the execution was solid. I was expecting some plot holes, but surprisingly there weren’t any. Even the bodyswap premise didn’t feel forced.

One thing I really liked was the supporting roles especially the second female lead (I forgot her name). She wasn’t overly dramatic or annoying, she became a “key” figure for the main couple instead. I genuinely thought she would end up with Jae yi btw

I also want to give a shoutout to Hong Mingi because his acting was incredible. I was SO frustrated with his character like genuinely annoyed even near the end. like I kept wondering why he was still being so “devoted” to his father.

Another thing I appreciated was how the drama didn’t rely on constant verbal confessions or excessive physical affection to show that the leads loved each other. The emotions were conveyed subtly, and the actors did a great job delivering that.

If you think about it, there was technically only one main villain, but he was extremely powerful and cunning. I also liked how the political aspect didn’t just revolve around palace matters, but actually addressed the lives of the common people. In many sageuk dramas, the focus is so heavily centered on palace conflicts that you start wondering whether anyone in the palace actually cares about the citizens.

AI sucks btw

I actually dropped it after the “helper” died (I forgot the ahjussi’s name) but he really grew on me. He was the one keeping me invested until near the end despite the plot holes. I even took a sneak peek at the ending and I’m glad they chose the realistic one.

I feel sorry for the girl, and the family storyline really warmed my heart (that's the very reason I gave rating 6.5 which it could've been lower). I actually exepected more esp near ending.

i'm so attached

it feels like coming back home. it feels like being hugged. like you’ve been invited to a warm housewarming party. it feels like having somewhere to go when the world starts to feel suffocating, somewhere the door is always open and welcome you.

like suddenly you have another reason to keep going. like everything might actually turn out okay. like hearing your parents say you did well, you’re doing great, and that they’re proud of you. like being reminded that it’s okay to make mistakes because there will always be another chance, another tomorrow.

it feels like knowing there’s a family waiting for you at the end of the day. it feels like home. it feels safe here, at doldam.
