Watching the concert and ZZH's One Leaf's live stream, I didn't expect that he is actually the more soft-hearted one compared with GJ. I have the impression of him as the more stoic and "cold beauty" one, but he was the one that cried when reading fans letter and during the heartfelt speech in the concert. Both of them tried so hard to hold back the tears but ZZH finally broke down and his words to GJ hit really hard. He really promised that he will be there for him FOREVER in front of literally millions of people *scream* How many people would dare to give a promise like that?? GJ is a very lucky person.
As he said, A-Xu has become part of him and he has now embodied "gentle yet strong" traits just like his character.

Yeah, I think it's a good policy for the author to keep distance from the drama adaptation, since commenting on it will definitely impact the viewers' opinions on the drama. And I think once they sold the rights to the other party, it is basically up to the production team to do whatever they want with the story (which often ended up disastrous).

Has she ever given any comment on her drama adaptation before? I only know that for Guardian, she wrote an alternate ending to comfort the fans. I don't recall she ever commented on LOF, I remember reading somewhere that she doesn't interfere with drama adaptation as long as they don't breach the contract/agreement, she has no comment.

Yeah, I read that wild theories too. I also saw AvenueX mentioned that here is character for "mpreg" that is floating around them in Ep36 lol. I just take it with a bag of salt, it is a fun theory though.

With yesterday's last episode broadcast, WOH has successfully broadcast all its episodes. I still remember few months ago, this comment section is full of worries if this drama would be taken down in the middle. Fast forward to now, safe broadcast, 2 successful concerts, Douban rating of 8.6 and the leading actors propelled to stardom. Well done WOH, you deserve all the glory.

I can't believe the amount of details they put into this show, more appreciation for them.

The man with the kid is Deng Kuan and the boy is his son with Xiao Lian. The little girl is Cheng Ling's daughter, but his wife is never mentioned so there are theories that she is adopted.

We as viewers already feel so emotional when saying goodbye to the drama and its character, I can't imagine how it feels like for the actors themselves who basically lived and breathed the characters for the whole 4 months, and they are the ones who love the character the most. No wonder GJ, ZZH and all the cast were very emotional in the concert.

Cheng Ling marrying who? Xiao Lian? No, she married Deng Kuan and the boy who practiced with ZZS is their son.

Wow, that' really sad after all they've done to support the drama. But kinda understandable since both XZ and WYB are pretty much inexperienced in this kind of fandom and they were powerless. I think the whole WOH cast also contributed to this healthy fandom, they blatantly ship the CP and not afraid to do that. I've never seen any cast that are so supportive like this :))

Thanks for explaining this. I only follow Guardian fandom before and yeah I didn't recall the leads openly thank CP fans, and I don't know about CQL fandom. I always wondered why there are so many dramas and conflicts at the end of promotion period and the "un-binding" between the leads, which always turned very ugly. Don't they know that CP fans will usually follow both actors even after the drama ends and continue to support them afterwards?
Yeah, now I have so much respect for ZZH, he doesn't care about the industry norm and openly acknowledged all the fans that support both of them, solo or CP. Respect!
