Backtracking to "it was sarcasm" once you get called out is pretty convenient. I’m a 16-year-old international fan and I’ve been watching BL for 6 years I know the genre inside and out. Calling a show a "dumpster fire" and insulting the whole crew isn't "supporting" it, no matter how much you try to backpedal. Slow-burn plots aren't bad writing just because they require actual patience.

@KSM4 Saying world-building and character development are "non-existent" just tells me you aren't actually paying attention to the political plot. They don't look like a 40-year-old married couple; they look like two people under massive family pressure who have to suppress their feelings. Subtle micro-expressions and quiet tension are still chemistry. Not every show needs high octane drama every single episode to have a solid story.

An Omegaverse adaptation doesn't need to be non-stop mating and heat cycles; if that’s all they focused on, people would get bored of the repetitive tropes immediately. Boat’s hair is high-fashion, bold, and intentionally styled to give an 80s rockstar vibe that fits the high stakes production aesthetic saying it looks like a cheap crimping iron fail is just wrong. As for calling the acting "wooden" and complaining about the direct eye contact between characters, those quiet stares are called tension, micro-expressions, and nuance. The main lead characters are dealing with intense emotional suppression under massive political and family pressure. Boat and Oat are delivering fantastic, subtle performances with what they were given, letting their natural chemistry do the heavy lifting without needing a script full of bloated dialogue. The writers and director are actually taking the time to build a real universe with actual plot, character development, and world-building instead of just rushing to cash in on cheap tropes. Throwing a tantrum and calling the whole show a "dumpster fire" just because it isn't giving you instant gratification every five minutes says way more about your attention span than the quality of the show. If you can't appreciate genuine storytelling, nobody is holding you hostage feel free to drop it and leave the show to the rest of us! I am still so in my feelings about this! 😭 You’re so right, 12 episodes was NOT enough it totally should have been 16! Even with Pae finally revealing himself, it still felt like it flew by too fast.

There was so much more to explore with Jamie and Mars, and like you said, the novel has so much extra detail that we barely got to touch on. I’m stuck in a rewatch loop too because I'm just not ready to say goodbye to our Puppywolf. We definitely need a spin-off or a special episode to give the other couples that 'loverboy' conclusion they deserve!

Can we talk about how Duang is literally the ONLY one? 🐺 there was never an 'old dog,' he’s the ultimate puppywolf and I’m obsessed with how they’ve written his character. It’s so fun and refreshing, I don’t want it to end at 12 episodes! How am I supposed to move on from this??
