Is it just me or the set was really bright after the first 2 episodes. The first episodes lighting was natural…
it's normal. weekend drama like this 80% were shot at set. they mostly didnt use real house/building so the lighting will be very bright. if you watch enough weekend drama you will notice the layout actually the same also.
:3 give it a spoiler tag dear! the 1st one was quiiiiiite a biiiiiiiiiiiiiig spoiler and anyone who dislikes sad…
since you already read the novel, I understand why you find my comment a spoiler. personally I think happy or sad end depends on how viewers interpret the story and shouldnt be the basis of watching or not. lots of good story had sad ending but gives off that happy satisfying feelings, while other happy end actually felt rushing and gives bad impression to the whole story.
her name is Kang Mirim and she's Yeonsil niece aka Daebom/DanDan cousin. I assume Yeonsil had three siblings - Cha Yeonsil - Cha Gun - Cha xx (Mirim's mother)
I thought i had read somewhere that korean broadcast stations were done with these long family makjang type dramas?…
I dont think this drama is so absurd out of common sense to be labelled makjang though. lots of cliche plots and conflicts, yes. but a makjang, not enough. just a standard soap opera XD
EP 13 ..after today's episode I DONOT want to hear any Anna Kim slander! I will fight anyone on here who will…
the one truly parasite is the step-grandmother. It's like she's annoying us on a whole new level compared to her character in HomeCha LOL
I remember she's the one who ran away with their money five years ago leaving their family broken. when she came back she coerce stepmother to keep DanDan's money for their house before theyre busted, then she pushed the blame to the stepmom. the one who took those clothes also the stepgrandma although stepmom already warned SooChul wont like it.
bio-mom and step-mom both have their own shortcoming, but I wont say the stepmom is very bad. she chose the clothes for DanDan since she's her stepdaughter, while the step-grandma ignored Mirim her own bio-granddaughter. she also kept her promise to SooChul never reveal that bio-mom is the one who left DanDan although she was framed as having affair with SooChul. her character a bit weak and whine a lot, but I think DanDan and SooChul still owe their life to her.
Anna Kim is doing a good job redeeming herself. she's always there for DanDan and not afraid to release her anger though it might raise suspicion. it's a bit weird she had lost her love for SooChul as if they previously were forced to marry. I guess time dan distance really make us forget. I would say her character a bit selfish but it's OK, not everyone should be perfect.
I know people are hating on Anna Kim, but I'm wondering if she was suffering from some sort of postpartum depression.…
instead of solely post-partum depression she might be having burn-out from their poverty at that time. I dont think people with PPD will run away overseas. she might got an offer and prioritize her career abandoning DanDan.
this movie marketed Yoona as FL but in my opinion it was Lee Soo-kyung who steal the show. Junkyung reason, dark past and motivation surrounds her and carry the story till the end while Yoona felt like a side character as his 1st love who become JK support later in life. overall Miracle is not a very good or very bad movie, just average story which documented a real history. still recommended. watch it. the tears and twist was good.
Squid Game lost in their game list. playing marbles? stupid. hopping on glass tiles? pure luck. all the games are created just for emotional drama purpose.
Alice in Borderland had more intense games and twist. the betrayal, mind games, skills and planning are needed to win.
the best part about this drama is how they throw a whole bunch of cliche plots then solved the misunderstandings/conflicts fast - I mean in just one episode their lie was exposed, one episode they managed to find the long lost brother-sister like, wth you wont die from frustation by watching this drama.
even though I prefer the original (2003), this version is still a great ride. I think their development is too fast (wth episode 1 they already kiss?) and supporting character is not well developed. That's great if you want to focus on lead couple plot but as a whole story I felt it was lacking. ML is not that annoying as original ver, sometimes I wonder why he never manage to marry till this time. My recommendation is to watch both version, they have their own charm and original ver might explain some of your questions in the remake.
1. It is happy ending 2. Cute and kisses overload 3. 2FL presence is just for sabotaging lead couple. No other development. 4. 2ML is a stalker. Everywhere FL goes he will be there for no purpose except helping FL and stir jealousy in ML. Even if she actually went to countryside rural area he will be there. 5. Turn off your brain and enjoy the lead couple chemistry. They actually worked together in Novoland 2.
1. Those asking happy end or not - She will be Royal Noble Consort Ui and give him child. If they extend the timeline we might see her die. If dying doesnt count as happy ending i'm not sure what to answer. (This is well known history so I dont think it's a spoiler.)
2. It's very interesting to take another look at King Jeongjo story. Yi San (2007) starring Lee Seojin and Han Jimin was 76 episodes of amazingness. This time they compressed to 16 episodes so I expect the plot will be fast paced and full of palace court political drama action.
but I'll mark the comment as spoiler for now ;)
