I'm really enjoying this series so far. But who do you guys think Fah is? I don't think he's Nuea's bf, the writers just want us to think he is. Though that phone call was pretty sus so I dunno
I was enjoying this series, and then the last episode happened.
Unlike others I knew from the beginning that Theo was Enchanté, so I never got the disappointment from that. I actually found it amusing, very childish but still. It was fun to try and figure out the different guy's intentions. And Theo and Akk's gay chicken dance was, at the very least, somewhat understandable. But then they had to create that unnecessary drama at the end. It was stupid, and the resolution was also dumb; though Theo did start to seriously annoy me since his reaction to his parents divorce and Akk's "deception". It wasn't Akk's place nor responsibility, because at the end of the day it was his parents decision. But whatever. What I just can't forgive is the dumb moving to France drama. Theo should've properly talked to Akk about it and not just sprung it on him as a final decision. And then Akk was the one that had to reach out and fix things between them?? No. Theo was incredibly immature about it and definitely does not deserve Akk.
Also, I can't with the sister. How dare she tell Akk that he's not good enough for Theo. Tf
Dropped it at episode 2 because I couldn't handle the cringe either... But given the comments, I sucked it up…
I decided to give it a go, and in a way it does get better. Though i have to pause every other minute because of the cringe, and honestly i have skipped some scenes. But Toh kind of grew on me i guess. I'm only on episode 5, so let's see how it goes
I heard that this series was hot trash, but kind of in a good way so i was planning on watching it. But i just cannot get over the second hand embarassment every scene brings. Like, honey get some self respect! I didn't make it past the first episode. It doesn't get better does it?
i gotta say, i think it makes sense that the rating dropped. The last few episodes have been kind of a mess in regards to pacing. A lot was lost after the time jump, and the secondary couples were relegated to the sidelines with no further development. I'm still enjoying the series, but mostly for the beautiful shots and the lovely coloring. Solid 8.5 for me, because yeah it's a lot better that other series out there
I hate to say it, but i kind of lost interest because of the whole misunderstanding issue bewteen Hia Lin and Kuea; also, i don't care for Hia Lin's attitute. Yes, yes i know there's probably a reason but I'm not a fan of arrogant characters that unwittingly or not just cause their loved one's suffering. And what is up with diao and whats his face's relationship? It feels so toxic. I'll wait for it to finish so i can binge watch it.
My understanding of this was that it was somewhat cultural/for Lin's reputation as "she" did travel around with…
I get that, but was he really going to marry the sister while being in love with the brother? It feels really disrespectful to Lin, and can you imagine the family dinners after that?
In my opinion, eps 1-8 were really good, but eps 9 and 10 were ....lukewarm at best. I'm not a fan of the whole…
god yes! I did not understand Korn's motivations at all in accepting the engagement, except that he's such a people pleaser. Also, why didn't he deny having done anything with Lin? Sure he kissed her body, but I don't think that's grounds for marriage, plus he was really kissing Win. I wouldn't say those last episodes ruined the series, but it felt like such a cheap way to get them to confess their feelings. Pointless drama that felt so forced. And it just uses women as a vessel to get two guys together. ehhh
I really don't understand why Korn was willing to marry Lin so easily just because win said no to him he knows…
Yes, thank you! I had the same thought. I mean, nothing even happened, it was just a kiss. And it obviously wasn't meant for Lin. He could've easily denied it, and it wouldn't have been a lie. I get that it's supposed to be because he's such a self sacrificing people pleaser, but was he really going to give up that easily? If it was to prompt Win into cofessing (like Lin) then it was a dumb plan. (I kept imagining him actually going through with it and pining for Win for the rest of his life, like a fool gahhhhhh) Honestly I was really enjoying the series up until that moment, it felt so unnecessary and like pointless drama just to keep the series going.
