For decades, Hollywood portrayed Black characters mainly as servants or criminals, which reinforced racist attitudes that persist to this day. Similarly, after 9/11, Muslims were often shown as terrorists, leading many viewers in the West to associate Islam directly with violence. The same logic applies to glorifying Satan, repeated portrayals of Satan as positive or ‘cool’ can desensitize people to evil. What once seemed shocking or wrong may start to feel acceptable, entertaining, or even admirable. For young audiences especially, constant exposure risks weakening their sensitivity to moral and religious boundaries.
