I found a new comfort show. The plot is nothing new, and it definitely has its flaws, but the production, cinematography and music make up for what the story lacked.

Glad to see I wasn't the only one that thought of Naoki as 'Married to the Music' 😂

Rurouni Kenshin (2012), Kyoto Inferno (2014), The Legend Ends (2014), the Final Act (2021).

Now, the Beginning (2021) is the prequel, which is 10 years before the main story line. If you want the story in complete chronological order, then watch the Beginning before Rurouni Kenshin (2012), otherwise you can either watch it before the Final Act or after.

His best works are definitely Navillera and Sweet Home. Some of his other projects fall short when it came to story telling (tbf even Sweet Home 2/3), but he's a great actor. Can't wait to see what he comes back with.

Ep 4 and 5 are better, but from ep 6 it starts to fluctuate a bit in terms of common sense. Some sub characters have interesting developments and love stories tho

That and the fact that the "conflict" could have easily been resolved if they communicated... She never actually spoke to him just assumed things and jumps to conclusions on her own.

He was always respectful when he was with her, but then he never bothered to clarify any misunderstandings. Their lack of communication skills was driving me insane haha

What saves it is the acting, good ost and cinematography. But at least season 3 gets a bit better than season 2.

At times I felt like I was watching a fusion of My love from the Stars, Goblin and Angel Last Mission. But overall it was very enjoyable, the leads had great chemistry and I loved their bickering. It definitely had some missed opportunities that would have made it much better, but still fun to watch.

I've been seeing a lot of sweeping comments seeming to imply as if grooming/dating (and abuse) minors is an attitude exclusive in Korea and the Korean entertainment industry. Let's not act as if this doesn't happen anywhere else in the world, especially in the West.

IU worked on 2 dramas with him, so they were colleagues, and she knew him since 2011 (dream high). Their friendship was also heavily marketed for pr, so take celebrity friendships with a pinch of salt. Given that she was in a similar situation could be that she didn't think of it as an issue at the time. She was also very close with Sulli, and she changed a bit after experiencing the loss of 3 friends/colleagues in a very short time.

Yes. It's a slice of life, so it can seem a bit slow at times, but it's a beautiful and comforting drama about healing :)

I remember the hype when it was announced and the disappointment that followed (I was among those disappointed). I decided to give it another chance recently, and I actually really enjoyed it. It's nothing out of the ordinary, but it's the perfect kind of show for when you just want something simple (with a dosage of kdrama cliches) and it does look pretty like a postcard. The nostalgic feeling of the 2010s dramas definitely helped me appreciating it this time round.

It's useless to present the argument of "what if you were him?". A sane adult, nearing 30, wouldn't approach a 15 year old with the intention to engage in a romantic relationship.

Also putting the blame on her family doesn't change the fact that he was a predator. Coming from a dysfunctional family made her an easier target.

So, because she's supposedly also at fault, that erases what he's done? So he shouldn't be held accountable because she agreed to stay in a relationship with him? Despite the fact that he was the one that approached her first?

Since you seem to love analysing the human condition, maybe you should research gaslighting and why victims stay. While you're at it, look into how grooming can still happen even if the age of consent is low and how the law isn't always meant to protect the vulnerable.

Tbf not only knetz. Unfortunately systematic misogyny is a global thing. People would rather see women die than to hold men accountable for their actions.

Those that are excusing this because she stayed for 6 years or because at the time it was a legal age for consent (or whatever excuse you want to hold on to), a 15 year old is still too young to be involved with a nearly 30 year old. You have to be dimwitted and delusional not to see the power structure and how she was always at a disadvantage. At 27 he was already an A lister and extremely influential. Imagine what it must have felt like for her to get attention from someone like him. Being exposed to the public at such a young age and on top of it coming with a baggage of family issues made her an easy target for a predator. This is what grooming looks like.

I am sorry she had to die for the truth to come out. The sad part is that probably in a couple of weeks he'll continue as if nothing ever happened.
