Not necessarily, Seungcheon was definitely not happy being poor. Seungcheons family does not look that happy either, they're in debt, constantly worrying about money, overworked, ... But there are certain factors that are realistic: poor people tend to stick together as a family more, they're less individualistic cause they don't have the money for it.
