i needed something light and easy to watch and this was spot on for me! while i do agree that there are a lot of plot holes, i think i enjoyed it more than i expected bc i needed some break from watching too heavy, too much romance or too light dramas. i enjoyed it 👍

I really wanted more Jaewon and Jinhee moments :(( I literally had to skip through the mom and bf scenes bc idk I just found it a bit boring or whatever. Still, their mother and daughter chemistry was fun to watch although sometimes the mom can be too childish and immature. Overall it was still a good watch!

Agree with what you said. I feel like the writer did Seohyun's character dirty? They could've added more personality and background about her character but they mostly showed her weak side. Her acting was on point but there's a limit to what she can do with Heeshin's personality. It's also why I need a season 2. Makes me feel like her character will shine there since there's that marriage with Gwang-il too.

I dislike drama adaptations because they tend to sway away too much from the orig and add unnecessary details but Whale Star is an exception. I really wish they produce it properly and cast the right actors 🙏

Almost done watching and I'm really loving it! (reminds me of Mr Sunshine too) I'm still at EP8 so I ain't sure but I think they should've added more dynamics in Seo Hyun's character. Maybe it's just me as a fan of SNSD but she doesn't really feel like a main lead. I wanted more scenes with her. She does have a lot but it's mostly not so significant that I can't help it but to fast forward :(( Still, I'm enjoying it! I didn't expect to enjoy Hojung and Namgil's scene more. I'm lowkey shipping ngl lol. Read some of the comments and seems like they ending is weak so I really do hope it gets a S2 (Also because I love dramas like this!!) Also, I hope the ratings go up like this deserves atleast 8.3- 8.7 for me?
