Just finished this drama. Idk why people are saying that the romance is bad, i actually really liked their bickering and interactions. The crime was also not bad , i liked how they jam packed so many cases in the drama but honestly the cases aren’t that good but it is still better than most crime dramas recently. The culprits were pretty obvious in some cases but at least the backstory of the crimes were really touching for some. Overall it is a good watch
Please correct me if I am wrong. But for the names part, especially in historical/wuxia/xianxia dramas, characters will have different salutations throughout the dramas. For example if the character is a Prince, he will mostly be referred to as a prince in his birth order (e.g: 4th prince means that he is the 4th eldest prince). Most princes would be in charge of a certain department/city/army in which he would also be to as Prince of (city). In the case where the character is also the heir to the throne, he may also be referred to as the crown prince/heir apparent. That character's family members may also use nicknames to call him (for males it would be ___ Er). Er means son in english
There is also HUGE misconception that chinese dramas are shorter than korean dramas. Most chinese dramas that are 50-70 episodes long are historical/wuxia/xianxia and if you compare to Korean dramas of the same genre, the run time is around the same There are so many chinese dramas (esp modern ones) that are 20-30 episode long. Since each episode ranges from 30-45 minutes, compared to Korean dramas that has 16-20 episodes and run for 1hr 15 mins, the total length of the drama will not be that different
I am pretty unsatisfied with that ending like I know its a happy ending but there are still so many things that could have made it better: I needed more romantic scenes btw JM and XF!!!! Why did they have so little non-crying scenes together!! I needed at least one more kiss and not them playing with a kid
I really wanted Moon Immortal and Xuan Ji to have some love line (at least hinted) but we didnt even see them at all!! And Yan You too!!
I really wanted to know why Kuang Lu loved RY so much! (maybe I missed the scene pls tell me!)
Overall, I think the ending felt a little rushed and there are some parts left unanswered and I really needed more romantic scenes
They better somehow in one way or another make it up to JM she’s the most pitiful character she was schemed…
I really think they will revive JM!! In the last scene there was Yan You holding sth (I think its JM's prowess that she used to give him) and I think that can be somehow used to revive her!
Urghhhh just finished watching 58-59 expecting there to be the wedding scene and dsfsfdfasdasdjasdkjakdjaskdjaskdjaskjdaksdjasjd there isnt lol
I love the actor playing RY. Him playing Yan You was so hilarious and funny, yet immediately at the next scene he was acting so emotional and angst. Right now I hate RY more than SH but I must say that all the actors are just 10/10
I watched only the first 3 episodes of this drama and then I put it on hold, because I wanted to wait until the…
I was hesitant to watch the drama at first too because I had heard about Yang Zi's bad acting. The start was also rather slow for me and I did not like JM at first
Personally I think that the show gets much better at ep 13. If you like WuXia and Melodramas I thin you should pick it up again!

the drama i was referring to was destiny of white snake. It is not downright terrible but still not as good as her acting here
