How I went with no expectations and just swinging by to majorly rooting for Ji Ling... I thought Shiguang is the main lead but Ji Ling stole the show for me. I LOVE THE POWER FLEXING HAHAHAHAHAH



The GuangYan cp is heartwarming while the other is heartbreaking but you still end up rooting for all of their happy endings. Ngl I was very invested with Li Jie more than anything, he's my 2nd top pick character next to JL hehe

First took notice of him in the web series "Search", cuz he looks hot being a soldier lol But I'm impressed like WOW! I came across clips of "Birthcare Center" and I didn't notice the goofy and bright father there was the same cold ass captain in Search. He's also good. I find myself on edge on how he's gonna cross his team and tension on screen whenever he's being questioned HAHAHAHAHHAH

I'm kinda sad he went back to minor roles cuz looking at his filmography, he got some main roles and some were rated highly in mdl (by that, I mean 8 above rating).... I hope he gets main lead roles, like as in the main ones not just second male lead

what episode are they gonna start to "fight" the system cuz they wanna be together? like the part where they already knew each other and the dating era begins

ED OST is one of the things that kept me here, it was a fun ride overall. (Like a longer and slightly upgraded version of Vertical Short Dramas; I rated it based on this criteria so its an 8)

Just finished, it was definitely good with a neat ending... I just can't shake of the feeling that something is missing or something could've been better so its an 8.5 for me. Anyways it was a fun ride and finished it in 4 days 😉

PS. If you're looking for loaded romance its not this but the action is quite good (just craved more creepy and magical stuff so I'm watching tomb raiders next, tho I don't know if it fits the bill)

Well first, I'm still at the beginning and as I've said I'll wait for her growth. I may be judging too early but one of the thing that annoys me is that the vibe I'm getting in the film is very patriotic, serving the nation and the people kind of stuff, and then there she is, antagonizing someone who's actually useful and responsible for the betterment of their country. I mean I get that she's very insecure from being compared to the royal princess everytime but here the thing,, she's mostly immature, spoiled, reckless and dumb. She wants to surpass her sister but doesn't have the capability to do so nor does she work toward that goal and ends up getting angry at the other's achievement.

Maybe you're right, I'm taking her character too seriously when I shouldn't. She have her good sides yes but the things I've mentioned is the types of characterization that annoys me so yeah we're a bad match

The relief I've felt reading the comments 😌 The second princess annoys me so much that I felt she's ruining my viewing experience and I'm at ep. 8,, I read in comments that she gets a character development later so I'll bear with her for now (tho pls help me, she the type of characters I really can't stand 😭)

Until the very end, the very last second, I was hoping for something like her going to the carefree land instead of him staying in mortal realm but alas... It was SO GOOD. Why is the ending like that, they went through so much at least a small possibility is all I wish for 😭

I should've read the comments now I'm a mess crying here... They say the novel has different ending, so I'm gonna go look for it.

LBFD and The Long Ballad 👀 I'm setting my sights on My Journey to You because I think it would shine a different light on Esther's acting capability. Also, I think the plot and characters are also interesting. TLB isn't getting mentioned enough but it's actually good and charming in its own way (Dilraba's braid and wavy hair in tribe setting is to die for, too bad its short-lived). And LBFD is such a love story I definitely loved for their unyielding love for each other 👏👏 I'm gonna check the other dramas on the list, thank youuu!

YES. Try some episodes to see if you think so too... For me, aside from the plot and flow, the characterization is really good

Reading this makes me think of "Are You The One" of ZWY.. it's like a parallel universe where he becomes the character zi yu who ultimately chose to let go of the person he love and just be the emperor the empire needs,, I mean I guess this film is more in depth in that part but I just noticed the similarity especially cuz of the actor hehe

OHMYGHAD I FOUND MY PEOPLE,, the audience ain't talking about her enough like I'll literally watch hours of her and the emperor interacting and living in the palace ARGHHH not giving us enough of this pure cutie is a crime
