A short summary (as it is dificult for me to give a detailed one in English :D ):
She was smart, strong, gorgeous, daughter of a noble family (and has no martial skills if you are asking).
Her first life was short (1 chapter if I remember correctly). Due to an accident in her life, she yearned for power, and wished to become the queen. She did achieve that position, but it was short. The King was overthrown, she took her life, begging the ML (Xie Wei) and her ex-lover (Yan Lin) to spare the life of another man (Zhang Zhe).
The novel was mostly about her second life. Those who had been good to her in her previous life, she wished for them a happy life, trying to help them to escape bad ending as in their past lives. By doing so, she's got herself into troubles and had to ask for/receive help from the ML many times. At first, she had feelings for Zhang Zhe, but he was reincarnated like her, and they couldn't overcome the bad experiences/memories in their past lives, and forced themselves not to get into a romantic relationship. They both were stupid, the ML said that, and I couldn't agree more. Why not fight for your love in this life, especially when you are given second chance to do so? Well, perhaps because he's not the ML =))
The ML was strong, powerful, smart, talented, handsome, high-ranking official (only second to 1-2 others in the government), respected/feared by his subordinates. And he had a dark secret. He climbed to a high position early in life, executing his revenge plan perfectly and smoothly until he recognized that he had fall in love with the FL. And although I has nothing against Ding Yuxi, I just think that he does not suit this kind of character.

An example (not related but it helps to understand the name of the novel): Buckingham Palace is the name of the residence where the monarch of the United Kingdom lives.
