Title Miss Chun Is a Litigator Spoiler
Ai, I'm really interested in this show, but I can't help but fall out of it when I read that the main couple is not that interesting by a lot of the commenters on here. A lot of them seem to prefer Han, but personally, I would rather she chose Lord Kang because I think he fits her better. He has a more fitting career that matches her ambitions, so they can work around it. He's serious yet has a sense of humor, so the relationship won't be boring. He doesn't help her like the other male leads, but I think that's a good thing. He takes his duties seriously, so it will help keep her on the straight path, but he's also understanding and lenient when it counts.

So even if this isn't a romance drama outright, it would've been more fun if Lord Kang was the male lead, Han was the second male lead, and Ye was a first love not meant to be.

The only problem I have with this movie is how the main character didn't do thorough research into the other person and the whole background. The movie did try to pass it with the main character showing to lack common sense when the other girl pointed it out for her to do it. But she's 28? If the movie had dived a bit more into her lack of education or something, maybe I would've given it a pass then.

I'm going to get hate for this so if you comment then that's a waste of your time. Not mine.

I gotta get it off my chest. The one playing the female lead looks like she went through a botched surgery that left her looking like a 50-year-old wanting to look like a 20-year-old when she's only 28. Don't get me wrong. Her acting is great, but by episode 12, I stopped caring for the conflict, and I was over her character so I couldn't overlook her appearance anymore.

I mean I get that it's a light comedy, but by episode 12, it gets tired, especially because the villains are barely present, so shouldn't bother existing in the first place because I don't care for their reasons anymore, and whatever climax it was going to have, I'm over it.

I'm only at episode 6, but my gawd, my blood BOILS when someone tries to do something righteous without understanding the consequences of their actions in the PALACE OF ALL PLACES where people can be KILLED! Like it's one thing to put only yourself through those consequences, but it's an entirely different thing if it unfairly drags other people who worked their ass off for YEARS to get where they are!

I mean try to at least have some self awareness and caution for other people's livelihoods. I should be mad at the people who are justifying the corruption as something normal, but instead I'm mad at the lead for doing something so stupid that wouldn't have helped stopped the corruption in the first place! I get you feel wrong for being scolded for doing the right thing, but the other people almost losing their jobs and on top of that have to work in a more difficult situation in a stressful environment don't deserve to be put through it with no fair warning!

I just CAN'T STAND incompetence and lack of social understanding in the work place of all places!

I'm only at episode 2, but I can't. I mean Pyo Ji Eun literally CHEATED ON HER BOYFRIEND on the first episode WITH HER EX who she's still friends with, so it makes sense for him to break up with her the way he did! I know alcohol was involved, but it's obvious she's not stupid enough to know things would get messy. And then she had the nerve to act like she's the victim! I have no respect for this woman who can't even do her job professionally and is a hypocrite. You're mad for your friend's ex cheating on her (which he wasn't), and yet you think you need to be understood when you straight up cheated.

The show is a pretty good balance of nihilism and hope in the face of impending doom. Although, that ballet girl got on my nerves so damn much. If she wasn't in the show, or at least showed SOME growth beyond those cute yet immature moments, I would've considered it a rewatch in the future.

Has anyone else noticed that when the two main leads talk about intimate secrets, they don't try to do it in a…
I KNOW! For the first three episodes I've been mentally screaming, "YOU ARE LITERALLY IN PUBLIC WHERE ANYONE CAN HEAR YOU AND EVERYONE KNOWS THE NAME NAKSU! STOP SAYING HER NAME! STOP TALKING ABOUT FORBIDDEN SORCERY THAT EVERYONE IS FAMILIAR WITH! YOU TWO ARE LITERALLY IN ENEMY TERRITORY AND INSTEAD OF A PRIVATE ROOM, YOU ARE LITERALLY OUT IN THE OPEN! WHY?! WHHHHHHYYYYY???!!!!!"

But I've learned to just accept it, and accept that it's just drama logic and the director just wanted more open lovely scenes to show off lol.

I stopped watching at episode 12.

Everything about this show is charming. I love all of the characters, the comedy and the action.

But...

First despite being only 20 episodes, it felt like it dragged too long after 10 episodes. And I believe its because of how it shifted from court intrigue to suspenseful mystery in action, which was very lacking. Then how they figured out the mystery was very much bull crap , that I felt nothing for the confrontation. It would've been better if they discovered it much earlier with the phone call or Vincenzo had pulled something more epic or the informant had been someone else.

Also, I wished they didn't go the romantic route with the two ML's. NOT because I don't like the FL. I love her character and how there's no growth because she's always been a.......competent and...compassionately complex person who is the necessary evil that her father needed her to be to find justice. She simply needed the right push to head that direction.

The romance isn't blunt, but it's noticeable, and honestly they were better off with a sibling relationship instead so that the comedy and chemistry between them had better landing.

Lastly, it was kind of frustrating waiting to see what the other tenants is capable of doing. Like we see moments where they shine, but they keep hinting for several episodes, and one of them hinted at being good at the computer, and it's been several long episodes since she mentioned it, and it makes me want to shove away the two ML's just to know their backstories and see their skills!

This movie deserves a high rating because the music is good, the characters are funny and complex in their own way, the actors did phenomenally with them, and it drove home the point of the movie where Kang Hanna went through a journey of what society perceived as ugly: Fatness and Plastic Surgery, and found self-love and worth in the end without it being entirely romantic.

Title 200 Pounds Beauty Spoiler
GUYS! KANG HANNAH WENT THROUGH A JOURNEY OF FIND CONFIDENCE IN TWO VERSIONS OF WHAT SOCIETY FOUND HIDEOUS: FATNESS AND PLASTIC SURGERY!

But starting off, the main point of this movie is about plastic surgery acceptance, where it's okay to change your appearance, but it's bad to play it off as natural with a fake identity (Like the Kardashians with their makeup line).

It's best to be honest about having plastic surgery because you weren't happy and everyone should be accepting that this person had a hard time, went through this irreversible process, and that it shouldn't prevent them from still finding confidence in themselves and their beauty.

That's the whole point of the concert break down where the audience chanted that 'It's Okay!" She's not a monster! She's still beautiful! And they say this while looking at both her and the fat version of her! And she still has a tons of merch and fans because it's true, they still love her!

CAN it be controversial? Yes! But only for parents who don't instill a sense of realistic self-worth and beauty in their children (Hannah with her barbie doll!)! And when advertisers play off unnatural beauty standards as natural (Hannah when she is Jenny!)!

But if someone wants plastic surgery because they want rounds eyes so they can always feel cute, a bigger butt or boobs so that they can feel sexier in a bikini, or turn into a freakin' alien to commit to their love for sci-fi fantasy, they should be allowed to and it shouldn't be looked down on!

As for the fat part of the movie, this is expressed through the friend's own side story where she was scammed by a guy she thought was interested in her despite being fat. This is why she tried to commit suicide! And Kang Hannah made a point that the guy shouldn't have done that to her! That fat people deserve respect and they have genuine feelings!

There is that ending where the friend goes for a full body surgery, but that one is mostly played for as a gag. And hell, if she wants to get that plastic surgery, she should.

AS FOR THE GUY! Like I understand why everyone calls him a douche, especially with that bathroom part, but it's clear in the bathroom part that he said those things for Ammy so that she won't bully Hannah anymore! Ammy was the one who sent the red dress if people didn't catch that! You can also note that him comforting Ammy is extremely different compared to how he comforts Hannah. With Hannah, he's soft, supportive and genuinely cares for her. With Ammy, he's threatening and distant because she is in fact nothing more than a star to him. He HAS TO comfort her because he can't risk losing either her or Hannah.

Like when he just tussles Ammy's hair like a child at the beginning of the movie but then full on hugs Hannah, making sure that she's alright! Also the time when Ammy shouted that she didn't want to do the comedy show, the guy just told her that he spent a fortune. When Hannah wasn't sure about doing any of the concerts, he doesn't guilt her or force her. He instead instills confidence in her that she can.

And why didn't he continue looking for her? Kang Hannah left after being humiliated, so he would naturally understand after trying to find her. He became upset in the middle of the movie at the mention of her name but that's because Ammy who is responsible in the first place was the one to bring it up. But it's clear later, that he doesn't hold a grudge. Instead, it's obvious he's waiting for her to come back. That's why he has her dog who is still a very happy dog! And he still looks to her as an example of natural talent that Jenny should take after. He also doesn't allow Jenny to insult her because Hannah was indeed special to him! He even genuinely smiled at her drawings on the music sheets and immediately recognized the Hakuna Matata symbol!

And yes, he acted like an asshole after discovering the truth, but we already knew beforehand of his reservations over plastic surgery which is common for anyone. But he learned better because in the end, Hannah truly is someone special to him regardless of how ugly she is perceived by society (both as a fat person or in plastic surgery).

Not to mention, he also protects her in the most effective smart ways that keeps her pride because he is a director(?) by the way he pretended there was an attempted rape scene that happened so she doesn't get in trouble, and he doesn't get angry at her for almost messing up everything. Instead, proud that she was able to accomplish what she did at that short moment. And when the old man wanted to squeeze whatever value he thought she had, the guy protected her without a possible lawsuit for throwing hands.

HE'S NOT PERFECT, BUT HE'S SO GENUINELY GOOD TO HER!

It's on youtube.

I'm so upset because I wanted to watch this movie because of the MV where they had Xiang Qin dressed as a cupid giving out roses, only to realize half way through that it was a DELETED SCENE! I'm so mad because it has her giving a rose to Ah Jin! He was so clumsy but incredibly sweet with a talent for cooking despite not being the brightest academically! This should've been a series instead of a movie!
On Diary of Tootsies Season 2 Feb 28, 2021
I hated that ToppGus didn't happen even though I understand why! Gus from the beginning wasn't into younger guys in the first place, Topp's mother is a homophobe and he already had enough issues at home, and every time Gus is with Topp in public, even though they're alone, he's super insecure!

While with Vin, he wants to be seen affectionate with the guy in public, they're around the same age, and his parents are accepting.

BUT THERE'S LITERALLY NO REAL ROMANTIC CHEMISTRY BETWEEN VIN AND GUS! I've watched BL dramas where the two leads never kiss (glances at China) but the chemistry would be bursting! And honestly, I don't think it's the story. They had moments to really drive it in, but it felt like the actors themselves just didn't vibe that way.

I MEAN THE DOCTOR AND NATTY HAD FEWER SCREEN TIME AND MY GAWD, NATTY MAKE HER YOUR WIFE! WISIT HAD THAT LOOK!!!! AND YES, GOLF BABY YOU DESERVE HAPPINESS!!! I WANT KIM TO FIND THAT GUY AT EPISODE 4 WHO LITERALLY WAITED AFTER THE CLUB CLOSED FOR HIM! YOU'LL FIND LOVE, KIMMMMMM!

And in the end as Nuknik was giving birth, I kept thinking to myself, Topp would've been a better partner to have there. He would've bought charm to the comedy of the event!

So yeah! I understand why they didn't happen, but they should've picked somebody else to play Vin to help me cope with my sunk ship! I can't watch the movie, knowing Topp's there, but MY SHIP IS STILL SUNK!
On Tonhon Chonlatee Feb 16, 2021
Actual summary: Chonlatee reunites with his childhood bestfriend and secret crush, Thonhon after 5 years. The two rekindle their "brotherly" friendship and not only move in together, but sleep in the same bed!

It's a dream come true but also a nightmare because Thon was raised by microaggressive homophobia and has a crazy ex girlfriend looking to tear them apart!!

Will Chonlatee be able to hide his secret or end up exposing himself?

Warning: The story derails at episode 9, and ends terribly on a happy note because of how rushed and morally problematic it was.
