Someone commented under a different show that they could not like it because of this show, which I thought couldn't be the case, but it was in fact the case.
On Dynamite Kiss Jan 3, 2026
I'm glad others are in agreement that after episode 7, it became boring. Like I tried to finish episode 8, but I couldn't bother.

Because like, I really did like the humor, and how it was a love letter to mothers, and the romance, but after everyone's dumb decisions in order to cope with their unrequited feelings, I'm just over it. And I understand the FL's reason to lie, but then when she started acting as if she wasn't the lie she said, it turned me off.

I watched this because I was at first charmed by Yurika's character, but then became charmed by Hamao's character. And everyone is funny and awkward. But like everyone else, I wasn't moved by the romance aspect. Like I understand why Yurika no longer liked him and preferred Kiseki, but like her character, it was really dry.
On Bon Appetit, Your Majesty Dec 31, 2025
I actually really like this drama. It flows well without padding or complicated schemes that will only leave plot holes.

It did remind me of Mr. Queen as others put it, but where Mr. Queen's main point was a man trying to figure out a mystery with a ton of humor, BAYM really focuses on the cooking with a mix of romance.

Like the plot is literally driven by the food where it makes sense politically, which is what makes me prefer this drama more. I also enjoy how there's an emphasis on the foreign methods of cooking where the top cooks were students of China (Sichuan) and Japan, and they're real chef characters who love their craft and not just side characters meant to go "ooh and ahh". The 3-meals competition was kinda nonsensical in a way that makes sense but I really enjoyed the dishes presented.

The only weak points I have with it was the Jester plot because I think his story was too heavy to really flesh out in 12 episodes and the prince's childhood friend plotting. And I'm left with no complicated feelings in the end but wished there was just one more episode so it didn't end with "That doesn't matter." LIKE HOW?!

So 8.5 feels like the correct score for this one.

Title Start-Up Spoiler
After reading the comments, I thought I would be hit with a bad plot point at some point in the show or be annoyed with the love triangle, but that's not the case at all.

For the love triangle, the show literally throws at you all the reasons the FL & 2ML would never end up together. Like how some of the traits the FL did not like in the guys who courted her matched the 2ML. Or how the 2ML did not attempt at anything until he felt threatened.

Yes, they wrote letters to each other which helped them through a very tough year. However, the FL held onto that love for 15 years, but the 2ML never thought about it until it came up. In fact when it comes to the letters, he said he related to them, but the only part he related to was the loneliness but not the hope the letters held. At least not anymore for a long time. In fact, throughout the show, he was the person who constantly tried to burn out anyone's hope.

I believe that his supposed love for the FL may have just been an extension to his bond with the granny. He was a good boy to granny through writing the letters to the FL, and he must've felt threatened that the ML was taking that from him. But after he talked with the granny about the debt he owed and how she switched the goals, he was able to let go of FL in a very clean way.

But for the ML, he at first did not understand the letters because he never tried thinking in that way. But once he did, he desired the same hope the FL had. To be able to make it out of a tough situation and see the light at the very end. And I believe that's what drew the FL to him more. The 2ML was the comfort of her past, but the ML is the hope for her future, and that worked vice versa. Like they really did complement each other!

There was the whole lying issue, but the root of that was the grandma. Like every time they were ready to tell the truth, the granny got in the way. And I believe the FL understood this, which was why she couldn't really be angry at the other two men. She was able to process the betrayal, make a fresh start with them and realize who she really liked.

Lastly, I really like the FL's sister's arc. She's the boss CEO FL without a romance arc, and instead a redemption arc. I also like the side stories of their colleagues and I'm kinda shipping the sister with one of the ML's friends whose a walking plot device LOL....(Edit: Just saw that they were a 2nd lead couple in a really popular show that I haven't watched.)

I really love the show.
On Rooftop Prince Nov 30, 2025
This show is really good if you're in it for the comedy and romance and not the mystery. Usually I would cringe or be disappointed at the comedy points but the three crowned prince's servants really delivered on their characters. And I really like the romance dynamic between the two leads.

I personally don't think the FL is a pushover because she's really just trying to live her life and cut out the toxic people. And it makes sense in the story that she can't always do that because she's family-oriented to a fault. However, she does argue and fight back when she is messed with.

Also as someone who has watched Chinese dramas, it's insane that other reviewers think this show dragged itself. If anything, they really put a lot of effort into the romance without being too extravagant, and the miscommunication isn't so frustrating because it remains in character and is properly resolved.

The only real issue is with how the villains are dealt in the end, but they really needed a certain scene to happen for the sake of the ending. Otherwise, I really like this show.
On The Last Empress Nov 24, 2025
Honestly, it's a really great show because it did not leave me bored for 20 episodes straight. Even when my interest did wain a bit in the last 6 episodes, I was still gripped by the plot. Although, it kinda lost its believability by how much everyone is just speaking out in the open and some of the facts are left unknown despite how it shouldn't be. And as everyone pointed out, the ending was disappointing but that was mainly on the actor not being available and not the show itself.

It's a good show to watch for the vibe, and not for political intrigue. It really deserves its rating of 8/10 on a good note.

I wanted her to be more cruel. Wanning is not only evil but one of those people who use their previous bad experiences…
Yes, I want Wanning to be punished in a very cruel way, and

It's just that this plan they chose and seeing the backstory made me think about all the other women who suffered in dramas and podcasts, and it made me very emotional, but after understanding it in a literary sense thanks to TaliaToo, it helped me come back down to earth and realize why it had to be the way it is.

And your comment help me remember how she forced Shen Yurong, which I honestly was happy for him to force the marriage on her which helped him get his little revenge before he faced retribution.

So yeah, thanks for that.

It would've been nice if you could've worded it like their reply instead of saying such nonsensical things. Rape being worse than death? Isn't that too insensitive to say?

Okay, so your reply is actually very sound unlike the other people who stated such nonsensical things just to be right.

I just couldn't help feeling triggered over the plan because once I saw the backstory, I thought about all the other women who'd suffer over the similar plan in other dramas, and the stories I heard in podcasts, so I'm like, oh no, here it goes again.

But this post helped me understand, so I can cope with it.

I do put myself in the victims' shoes which is why I want Princess Wanning to suffer. But for it to be this way is too gross and triggering.

How can you say death is worse than rape?

And the trap laid for Xue Fangfei to be found with her cousin was set up by Jiang Li's sister and cousin. And the asshole fiance' tried to rape her on his own terms. The only time Wanning ever plotted with the Jiangs were over the whole shaman thing.

And Xue Fangfei didn't collude with Concubine Li over the death of the other concubine, but it's still gross me out.

Wanning can suffer but this sort of suffering is so triggering. Even if it's a fake pregnancy, that's just so triggering.

I just said I wanted there to be retribution because it's so triggering. Can you please stop triggering me?

As I put in the FIRST SENTENCE, she did heinous shit that can't be forgiven. She deserves to be put down any other way. Have her be caught having sex with Shen. Forge some love letters that Shen wrote to Princess Wanning and force Shen to marry someone else, forcing Princess Wanning's hand to stop the marriage which will provoke others to believe she was having an affair with him. There are so many other ways to expose their affair.

Xue Fangfei and Jiang Li has never been raped into pregnancy and forced to harm their bodies to the point that they can't give birth anymore! The two probably could become just like Wanning if that specific thing happened! So the suffering cannot be compared!

Taking this route specifically is gross. Don't bring pregnancy or children into the fight!

Honestly, that's mostly to do with harem dramas because that's evil concubine shit that you don't condone, and Xue Fangfei got Concubine Li to do it with the knowledge that she murdered another concubine, which is something her sister did to Jiang Li's mother. And have Concubine Li continue doing that gross shit on another woman, evil or not, just to depose her?

Harem dramas with that kind of psychological torture has made me not be able to stomach such a scheme, and wish for retribution despite the plot because damn, just don't bring kids and pregnancy into this.

SO PUNISH WANNING BUT NOT LIKE THIS!!

I know the princess did heinous shit that can't be forgiven, but Xue Fangfei's plan to expose her was intensely cruel once you see her backstory. I can't help but pity her and hope that everyone else who committed to this plan will face retribution, even Xue Fangfei. Like you can do anything else to hurt the princess, but Xue Fangfei crossed the line this time.

Title Physical: 100 Spoiler
Just watched it, and I am upset by how "the weakest" team had to team up with someone with a very noticeable injury , and he even lost the previous team match, which could have been because of said injury since it happened before the team games. That was just setting them up for failure, especially since the other teams didn't want them.

The game should have added the rule that if a player is injured to the point that they can't properly perform basic motions like jumping, grasping or running, then they should be pulled out of the game, especially since they are doing teams. I know it will make the numbers in the teams uneven, but that should have been a consideration by the people producing this show since other shows do that.

My favorite competitor was surprisingly Park Hyung-geun. I know he seemed like a villain at the start with his cockiness when he went against Kim Chun-ri. But afterwards, you could see that he was definitely a team player and his cockiness really help keep the vibe from feeling hopeless. So there really was a pro and a con to his personality.

I also really liked Jang Eun-sil, Nelson Miracle, Seo Ha-yan and Jo Jin Hyeong.

GIRL, if this was set in the modern ages, then go for it. But because it is in a historical setting, this isnt a matter of just careers but LIVES AT STAKE. People couldve been KILLED, disabled, ruined- Corruption is wrong but dragging other people for your own sense of justice is SELFISH. Must someone die for her sense of justice. Must someone else suffer for her justice. Can you in good conscience force that on another person with "NO FAIR WARNING". Dont you care about how your actions, though good, could ruin others? In the same breath, how dare you assume i was eaten by the system! FUCK OFF!

Title Miss Chun Is a Litigator Spoiler
Ai, I'm really interested in this show, but I can't help but fall out of it when I read that the main couple is…
Alright, so I finished it, and I can understand why people would call it boring. Honestly, many of the cases is commonsense, and nothing really mind bending or intriguing is happening during those trials.

Also, the way everything is investigated doesn't necessarily make sense. It's as if people aren't being thorough at all with finding out everything before the court takes place. Why didn't they know the woman was already pregnant beforehand? There should've been a doctor to check her for any injuries. Why didn't they find that bloody piece of wood in a restaurant that should've been sanitary from the get-go, and yet two people could find it in the dark. I understand that it was the ancient times so many equipment wasn't made at the time, but there is still a lot of questions that can be figured out beyond what the litigators can dig through.

Everything is clearly dumbed down so that the FL will be able to shine while everyone else seem to take everything at face value. I skipped a lot of scenes because I don't think I will miss anything, and I really didn't.

The only thing saving this show are the actors. Their charisma and good looks really are the only selling point.
