Interesting theory! Yup the moment I heard partner, then I also got the idea that Hong Jae On is the real heir to Yongcheonru because Hong Min Sik was the one with lots of fortune, not Cheonās family.
To those who are confused on the princesā titles:
Prince Muyeong - Lee Eun (ML) Prince Eunsung - Lee Eunās cousin, the former Kingās son Prince Seon Yang - Minister of Warās grandson and Queenās son
because he wants to strengthen his power. His daughter is the Queen and he wants his grandson prince to be announced as Crown Prince and heās been requesting that from the King. ML is sort of a threat to his grandson although MLās mother is not a queen. He doesnāt want ML to get married to another powerful family that could make him Crown Prince.
Misunderstandings/mistranslation or not, they couldāve avoided the whole propaganda in the drama by not having that scene at all or creating complete fake country names that people couldnāt tie it to any country in real life. Itās intentional and people are mad.
The whole Argan plot is also cringe and unnecessary, even if itās from the novel like some people said, itās kinda weird though and if itās rushed, just skip that material altogether. The whole ML disappearance and āpunishingā himself because of his guilt is justā¦meh. Like yeah he could feel guilty and stay away from Hee Joo to remorse, but there are tons of other ways to do it. The whole plot of going to warzone just to fight for your relationship, umm I just canātā¦
This drama was great during the intense phone calls, like I was excited for the next episodes, but after that, I was kinda bored and itās turning into complete makjang with accidents like kidnapping, bombing, falling from mountains, fire, another kidnapping, to the point I feel like gosh, give them a break. The romance was okay, both of the leads have outstanding chemistry, but why almost all sweet scenes are just imaginations? š
I thought I would love this drama and rated it high during first half, but second half is kinda a mess to me.

I watched ATCY when it released and I rated it high too. It has similar theme just like any other time travel drama, but not the plot. It wasnāt really suicide in Lovely Runner, btw. If you donāt like ML in LR, sure thatās your opinion. Some people like playful male lead who likes to tease FL, and itās cool.
