Not too sure if they show in which year is the setting of this drama, maybe the writer didn’t intend to put it as it might have a backlash of historical distortion. However, if we look at CP’s name is Lee Eun, which historically in Joseon era, Lee Eun on this drama could be Lee Eun the late Joseon dynasty (1897-1970), so this drama potentially set during late 18th centry and early 19th century. There’s already influenced of westerners and other countries by then. That’s why they have the grand guesthouse and they could have “customer as King” as motto of the business which they couldn’t do it if it’s in early Joseon era as King & dragon symbol should be sacred.

yes, that’s why it’s good, at least it’s believable. Some other cross dressing dramas from female to male, FL still looks feminine so it’s kinda weird that no one notice that FL is a woman, not a man.

Kim Ji Eun’s make up on this drama makes her look like a guy, at least to me. She doesn’t look too feminine

It seems like everyone left at the same time if you view it as one episode and within the same timeframe. It’s stated in the drama that there’s no reality of time for those who are there and it’s always night time there. While it seems that they one by one left at the same time, in real world, it’s a different time.

It’s not that easy to just go there at Light Shop and find their bulb to live. You can see how the high school boy always passed by the shop without even realizing it. In order to live, it’s within one’s will and other’s will as well, that’s why Nurse Kwon is trying her best to be an assistant in the real world to guide those who are still alive and wander to come back to real world by going to the light shop. She mentioned to Jiyeong when she cried next to Hyunmin, to the bus driver, to Hyewon, and to all the patients to find the light. Since those who are dead could directly got the instruction from Nurse Kwon in real world, they tried to guide their loved ones who are still alive and wander in afterlife to go to the light shop. The bus driver felt guilty and just wanted his passengers to stay alive and awake, so he tried to help the high school boy because he has no one to guide him there and he’s the first one he found. The high school boy also got some assist from nurse kwon when she put the basketball near him at the hospital bed. After the high school boy, he heard about the lady who’s stuck in the house, he went there to help her as well but then he realized there’s already someone who’s trying to help SeonHae and HyeWon told him to go to the apartment to help the high school girl, Hyun Ju instead.

Similar case with the ahjussi who is the longest one in ICU, no one could guide him to the light shop and he’s always in the brink of death by going to the morgue, but nurse Kwon keeps on guiding him to find his light by putting music on him and told him multiple times to find the light.

In Moving, there was a special kid who could stop time by snapping his finger. Both dramas are by the same writer

Kinda like how the writer leaves it to viewers’ interpretation. It could be because she committed suicide and it also could be because he went to the light shop without his own will and survive, that leads him to be confused in real world and might seem to have amnesia.

If you watch Moving, you would understand the end credit scenes! It’s just to show that both dramas are from the same universe and that guy is special that he could stop time.

I think you’re right, detective can see ghosts even before he went into coma, probably that’s why he’s special and perfect for the task

No, people who died stay in the afterlife and become a resident there. When a person died, they have 3 days to wander around to reunite with their loved ones whether in afterlife or real world and to say goodbye. After 3 days, those who died will become a permanent resident. However, there are ghosts who didn’t know that they died and still wander in real world. This is when the cat-eye restaurant guy chase those ghosts to go to the afterlife. For those who are in coma, they’re stuck in between and need to have a will to live by going to the light shop. If they don’t, then they die in real world, and live in the afterlife.

The restaurant guy was a ghost chaser to make sure that those ghost who linger around in real world and didn’t want to go afterlife to go there. The detective guy mistakenly took him as a murderer and while he’s chasing the girl who got killed by fire ghost, the detective interrupted his chase and when the lorry came, that restaurant guy with cat-eye saved him, so he died and became a ghost. Since the detective is aware of the afterlife, he can see ghosts now just like nurse Kwon. The restaurant guy died and become a ghost, that’s why he said he had to go there and someone has to take this role and gave him that specs. So the detective has become a ghost chaser.
